Incredible food and service, one of the best I've ever experienced.

I can honestly say that this was the best restaurant experience I have had in a while. The place is delightful, the service was friendly, attentive and so welcoming that I felt like a guest in a loving home. Then the the food came and I thought I had ascended. Everything we ordered we ordered lots was mouthwatering, fragrant and delicious. I strongly recommend a visit! Also, Grace, the dynamo that makes D6 what it is, is an amazing person to chat to! I cannot wait to go back.

Both times I have been to this restaurant, its been an experience where you feel like you are leaving a friend's house after a "lekker kuier". The food selection is truely Cape Malay and flavour combinations are something you will not find anywhere else in Johannesburg. Sample everything, make some friends and don't be afraid to ask for advixe on what to have. You will love it the first time and every other time you go back!

This is an amazing place packed with delicious food, fascinating stories, and incredibly warm hospitality. Grace makes you feel like you're sitting in her home and one of her family. I can't wait to go back!

A wonderful little gem in emmarentia. Delicious and authentic cape malay food, with a warm welcome. Try the lamb and tripe curries especially, or the excellent salad.

I did not have a great experience here. We got our food an hour late, it wasn't amazing. We couldn't get an invoice because the machine was broken. There were too many tables for the small place. Not sure I will be doing back anytime soon

Authentic, hearty Western Cape food. Delicious curries and samosas. Friendly service. Tiny restaurant, homely atmosphere.

Full of character - like a bit of district 6 in Jozi. Authentic Cape Malay food and hospitality

Nice food, but service a bit slow
