A Memorable Seafood Feast at Ocean Basket Melrose Arch.  Ocean Basket Melrose Arch truly exceeded our expectations with an unforgettable seafood experience. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for a delightful evening.  Our culinary journey was a mix ofwell-done Baby Calamari, and we were immediately impressed by the tender texture and perfectly seasoned flavors. The calamari was cooked to perfection, striking a delightful balance between tenderness and a satisfying bite. The prawns were a show stopper. Plump and juicy, they were bursting with freshness and had a distinct sweetness that showcased the quality of the ingredients.  What truly elevated our dining experience was the outstanding service provided by our waitress, Candice. She greeted us with a genuine smile, and her friendly and attentive demeanor made us feel welcome throughout the evening. Candice's knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she effortlessly guided us through the array of seafood options, making insightful recommendations that perfectly matched our preferences. Her professionalism and warm hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal.

Really really amazing restaurant to dine or take out... The food was very delicious, and the staff are awesome.. Simply an amazing experience here and prices are very good too.. Will definitely come back..Food: 5/5

The experience was amazing My husband gave an amazing review of the food, the atmosphere and the waitress whose name is Candice. Our son got to try out everything nice. I could write a novel about tge dinner experience but I'll let the pictures do the talking

Service, great Speed, great.  Portion size seems different to the usual.  The manager says it 800grams total which to me, doesn't appear so. It appears the portion sizes are reducing.  This is a family platter @ a cost of R470 NB, starches were saparated.

We were greeted by the door and immediately seated. It wasn't as busy as it normally is due to the weather, I suppose, so we had incredibly fast service. We ordered and they brought some lovely warm, fresh, bread rolls for us to eat. It was a mere 5 minutes after we ordered that we got our food. The food was delicious. The dessert, too. We ordered Churros usually they are known to have cinnamon sugar on them but they weren't served like that it was tastey in the mallow-whip and chocolate. Really fast and attentive service from our waitress Patricia N Thank you !!

Popped in at the OB at Melrose Arch. Great to be able to sit outside and enjoy an wonderful evening with the bonus of being served by Lefty who actually is a righty!  The food was excellent and the service wonderful. Nice to be able to get out after being cooped up for so long.  We will highly recommend the OB at Melrose Arch and we will be back!! Thanks Lefty you are a Legend!!

Firstly food was really good. Service certainly needs attention. Waiter was a little clumsy and too direct / borderline rude? Salad came without included mayo and fish without lemon butter after he offered. Took ages to get the bill and zero apologies for several mishaps.

I had  lovely lunch with a nice glass of Chenin blanc. Lovely atmosphere and great customers service.I will be back.

27.10.2018 Our company went to Melrose Arch to join in the Joburg Pride fun. We booked a table at Ocean Basket to keep us fed and hydrated. I was very impressed with the service and the quality of the food.  We ordered various starters and mains in platters to share. Highly impressed everything tasted delicious. Loved the mini fish cake type things, it had a lekker kick. The Calamari was tender, the fries crisp, and the Prawns absolutely YUM. Best seafood restaurant in Town  I have been to OB for few years now. The food quality is very consistent. My favorite dish is the 3 way calamari.  The price is reasonable and the service is good.
