Went to collect my passport entire process took 40mins. I was surprised there was even very clean, well kept toilets. Only downside is no parking - understandable, it is a main road You have to park around the block / side streets.
I went to renew my passport after having attempted to do so at two other Home Affairs offices, not even having managed to even enter the building on those occasions. The process was smooth and efficient, and the staff seem to have a good system for ensuring everything keeps moving. I found them all calm and professional. It was very clean. The only "downside" is that finding parking may be a challenge. I now hope that the collections process will be as efficient.
Efficient and excellent service. I got there at 5am, the doors were open promptly at 8am. Everyone was told assisted with which queue to stand in, and once you are in the door, I was done within 45 minutes. And the staff are very friendly and are happy to assist. Really great job
Have to compliment Bellville Home Affairs. The process smooth and quick once inside. We got there 5.30am and left before 10am. They do your biometrics at Bellville branch. There is security as early as 5.30, so it is safe enough and the security helps and guide you to the line. Thank you and well done!
My elderly MOM and I went to the Bellville branch yesterday to complete our passport applications. We arrived at about 8.30am and in just over an hour we were done with everything. WHAT A PLEASURE IT WAS!!! From the friendly security outside to the final cashier for payment we experienced nothing but the most efficient and eager to assist staff ever. I highly recommend this branch. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE. WE APPLAUD YOU . KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK AND KEEP SMILING
I went to apply for a passport and I d card.i was assisted by friendly ladies at reception. The young man who helped me with the photograph and fingerprint was courteous and friendly.There was a problem in my application,and 2 young men ,1 I think is Jakes went out of their way to sort out the issue for me.i am very impressed with the service ,courtesy and helpfulness of the staff working here.well done.
I was there for collection of my ID. I arrived at 7:30. And was ushered in at about 8:15. And out by 08:25. Simple. But the line for ID application?! Bonkers.
I have used the Branch Application Booking System BABS which gets you past the long queues outside. However, you join the queue on the inside and you are given a ticket number which is used for the 3 processes: Photo and fingerprint capturing, ID/Passport Application and Cashier Payment but there are dedicated stations for people who have booked using BABS. The entire process took about 1.5hrs. It is advisable to complete the online application for the ID/Passport Application since this speeds up the process. And have cash ready in the event that the speed points aren't working or pay online once completing the online application for your ID/Passport. But all in all, I think that the process went smoothly. Now, it's just the waiting period for receiving my documents.
Got to the department of home affairs belville today after i called in , was told that closing at 3.30pm .Got there at 3.05 pm .to find some people not being allowed to enter as they want to leave at 3.30. my office closes at 4.30 pm and if a client walks in at 4.05 i let them in. the poor security did not know what to say as the boss inside said no more people ... what utter rubbish .. we pay for the service. I think whoever is in charge should take a walk around that office and filter out those supervisors who make their own rules ...dismal service!!! pity no place for zero stars
Had to apply for renewal passport and made appointment at Home Affairs Bellville through their system. On arrival, I was told that my previous application was still open, that the branch where I collected my passport did not close off my application and I cannot proceed with my renewal. This is where Jix came in and persisted until he had confirmation with the other branch that the application was closed and I could proceed with my new application. I then received wonderful and helpful service from Janine as well. Two very efficient and friendly individuals and an asset to the branch. Although very time consuming, took about 2 hours, these two staff members made it tolerable and I walked out of there with a successful application. Thank you Jix and Janine.
