Worst place ever. The security guards take advantage of people in the queue. They ask for money to be able to jump the queue. When you get inside they can issue you the document for the bank to fill up, after waiting for 5 hours then they tell you come back tomorrow. The service by the labour personnel is worse they feel nobody will challenge their work ethic. Worst labour department in the country

Kempton park department of labour your well know by accommodating a high number of people who you actually manage to help 15 percent out of 100. While there are those who arrived late and they were asked to pay R150 so that they cannot join the queue. Definitely sure the money is going to security and labour department stuff. Stop that nonsense guys and work and do your job according to how it must be done.

Just like every other government office. This one is specially terrible. The pavements you have to queue on are filled with dodgy people and strewn with rubbish. Went at 6am stood in the queue forever only on find you have to be in a different queue and start the process all over again. Finally get inside with all my document packs only to be told I have to go back on the 24th August to submit documents. The sheer laziness of the staff and nonchalant attitudes contribute to this. There are no proper systems and procedures in place. Everyone does their own thing. It's shocking, not that I expected anything better than shocking service from a country that we pay for these facilities who are useless in themselves. Security unfriendly speaking in Zulu and chewing gum.....yip and they thing this is a world class African city ...ask every day residents, it's not. Only go here if you are expecting bad customer service, long queues and unhelpful staff. If you are applying for benefits for the first time, you will queue in dodgy CBD, just to be given a skew photocopy of your appointment. Next time you go, you just repeat the process. It's ridiculous. This is job creation at its best. Never again.

I'm actually at home Affairs not labour, the home affairs services are poor the lines are not moving they keep on saying they are off line but they help others

Truly a disgrace how the department of labour is being managed and run. We have applied for maternity benefits through their proposed efficient “ online service” to avoid the long queues last year sept 2021 and to date still no response, feedback or an expected date when we will receive our own money which is owed to us. Customer care personnel supply the same excuses over and over. How is it possible that we cant get our money due to is?? And how is management not realising the damage they causing and not fixing their own processes which they should be responsible for..

Horrible service... Waiting time 4-6 hours! Unhelpful staff. This branch should be shut down.

They are not answering e mail and neither the phone. We submitted on the 18th of November and no feedback tobdate

It is a disgrace to see how unprofessional is the department labour at this point off time I believe that action should be taken by our government officials this department it is useless, no follow ups on people's applications and they don't deliver accordingly,they don't attend to people's complaints very poor service delivery

This place is a mess, the service is slow, u stand in the que for 2-3 Hours with no movement

Opens at 7:30am, had to arrive there at 6:00am due to long queues, I was doing a maternity leave claim, the service was great I was expecting the worst, I received an appointment letter with a date of when to return. Went back on the 9th June, and had a smooth process in applying for my claim, was assisted by 4 labour consultants, checking different sections of my applications all my documents were correct, wasn't short of anything. My claim was approved and I received an sms, then got a payment within 7 days. Great service
