Dr Rakesh Newaj is a qualified medical specialist who, through additional training, has obtained postgraduate qualifications to specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin disease and skin cancer.

Description

Dr. Rakesh Newaj a Registered Dermatologist with practices in Waterkloof ridge, Pretoria, Benoni and Kempton Park (Johannesburg) at the Arwyp Hospital.

Dr. Newaj completed his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand in 2002 and his FC Derm in 2010.

He is registered as a specialist Dermatologist in South-Africa as well as in Mauritius.
He also has experience in internal medicine, gynaecology and urology.

Dr. Newaj specialises in the diagnosis and management of skin disorders, these include mole screening, excission of skin cancer by surgical and other methods, treatment of pigmentation; hair diseases & nail disorders, skin diseases of the genital region, varicose vein sclerotherapy as well as women’s health. Cosmetic dermatology is also part of his scope of practice.

I was really a bit intimidated after reading the comments about him being a straight forward guy. Was stumbling over my words but he was really nice. Explained the condition I had and the treatment I would need to undergo. The front office ladies are also friendly but can get chatty and forget the patients. Overall it was a good experience going to see him again very soon. I’m looking forward to be removing my skin tags. Oooh and the Dr himself has amazing skin, more of a reason to trust him.

What a rude assistant and doctor. First time my mom came to you for help and she gets asked what makes you think I can help you. Never examined her hands, never took the time to listen to everything she has tried to get her hands right either. The assistant was not only rude to her but even other people in the waiting room. You should be ashamed that my mom left there in tears. What a disgrace to treat patients like that.
Excellent MOST kindest dermatoligist. Great service received. He identified the allergic reaction on my skin and provided the correct treatment the first time. Big thank you for his support staff who made me well feel welcomed.!!
Honestly, I felt robbed at 1st. All-in-all, I didn't even spend 5 minutes in the consultation room and I had my diagnosis. The man is straightforward which may seem rude to some if you're used to constant small talk. He knows his story. Has a wide range of clients, African, Caucasian, Indian so you'll definitely get a solution from him. Definitely recommend.
Went to see Dr Newaj for my vitiligo. The supporting staff is brilliant and Dr Newaj is amazing!!! My vitiligo has completely healed thanks to the treatment offered by the good doctor. I would definitely recommend him to someone who has the condition.

Honestly would not recommend for the long term he will give you a short term fix am sure most people still have the same problem after taking the treatment. I got a very short term consultation with no examination i still wanted to say what my other problem are but i was dismissed. Dont waste your time and money.
