Excellent food and a clean restaurant. Here you can order from junk food, take aways, breakfast, etc. The staff is friendly and do have some patients for your order. The wait will be rewarding. If you pass Loxton this must be a stopover for a welcome break. This is not just a restaurant but you can buy cookies, jams, bread and lots more. Ask the manager to tell the history of this place.
We had to wait about half an hour for a cup of coffee and there was 1 cup short, so the last person got coffee after everyone else had finished theres. There was nothing available to eat. They could clearly not handle the about 15 customers at that moment.
I went to Loxton in May. Such a cold weather. The Pomegranate did not do it for me. Strike one - They gave me a self-catering room. I had no intention to cook. It had unnecessary amenities. It was not cozy at all. It might be a question of taste. Sue me. The room was recently painted. My respiratory system was really challenged. Strike two - I had no hot water on day 1. A real nightmare. Because there is no caretaker on site, I had to "make a plan". Strike three - They never cleaned the room. Mind you, I make my bed, even when I stay in a hotel. The bed was falling into pieces. I spent three nights with them on the floor. Strike four - There was no water at all on day 3. I had to go wash somewhere else. Strike five - I asked them to email me the invoice. They never replied to my email. Summary - I had a bad experience.
Great variety and quality eats and treats. Friendly staff. You can't miss Die Rooi Granaat - be sure to pop in when driving through or visiting Loxton. Great stop for a quick bite
Wow what an experience. Love the vibe, the theme and food. Beautiful place in a beautiful small town. Cuddos to the owner Desiré, manager and well known chef Sonja and the staff.
Good food, friendly service. I don’t think the kitchen was ready for 13 of us passing through. Took an hour and a half to get our food.
Nice ambiance but food needs to improve. Come on RG you have the market captured in this small town - just give us some real food!
We had a great breakfast here traveling through this part of the Karoo. Very friendly service, although laid back which I guess is suited for this part of the world.
The Karoo at its best... the kitchen offers traditional fare and the "Loxton Lager", infused with Karoo herbs was delicious and refreshing. Be sure to try one if you are ever in the area.
Great coffee, latte and breakfast. Friendly service. An oasis. Creative and arty. The name tells a story.
