Liked the place. Isolated. Great pub. Great drinks specials. Unfortunately it was loadshedding so didn't get to try the food. The empty starts are reserved for the food. Great service from the bar man .

When my daughter first suggested we hold her 30th birthday celebrations at Diggers Pub I was a bit skeptical about an "outdoor bar party". But then again, I'd never been there before, so the stereotypical bar scene came to mind. And so I ventured out to meet Brenda and her team. What a welcoming surprise to see such a lovely venue and Randburg's hidden gem! The venue is based in the middle of the sports grounds, and attached to the rugby field. Brenda was super helpful, friendly and we shared many laughs. While there I thought I would test the infamous prego and chips meal, as this was the choice for the party where guests 'Make your own burger'... We tried the chicken and beef... and WOW WOW WOW - Exceptionally tasty and great value for money! The 'slap tjips' aka potato fries, are the best in town! Back to the party... It was a huge success and the guests were impressed and loved the rugby vibe - and that bonfire sure did help. Well done to Brenda and her hard-working and friendly team. It was a really enjoyable evening, service was superb and prices were affordable. Thank you to everyone involved. We will be back! PS. Thought I would add that they also do takeout meals - and their preggos are still the best! We order ahead and collect when done. Contact them to hear about their specials.

Love going here although it's been a while. Priced like most places in jhb so it's reasonable. Nice to sit on the patio with the sun on winter afternoons.

We visited the pub and had a very nice steak, egg & chips at a very good price. If you feel like having a bite I would definitely recommend Diggers.

Unsophisticated, noisy when busy,  uncomfortable seating... Good for a drink and a burger  when they have steak they are OK... Not for kids but they abound.... Solid sports enviroment.

It's ok,on both occasions I had the caramel shooter and I loved it

It is a proper rugby field and well maintained as well. There were two private independent coaches who were coaching kids when I went there on Saturday morning at 8.30.  Sufficient open parking space.

There should be more options and more shade however it is okay and very spacious.

Good admin,great environment I have a nephew who is slowly becoming the next springbok. None better in the region !!!!
