I recommend Dr Spies highly. He helped me with my health issues with thorough investigations and a thoughtful treatment plan in a way that other doctors have not been able to. I can not recommend him highly enough.

Dr Herman Spies has been an incredible help in my healing journey. His particular approach looks at the entire being and how it functions. This was exactly the holistic approach that I needed and had been searching for. The day I got to meet with him he helped me understand a lot of what was causing my issues and he kept positive about the possibility of fixing any hormonal disregulation that I had been suffering from due to taking a contraceptive pill. Overall I feel more energetic and able to heal the gut issues too. I would happily recommend his services to anyone who is looking to heal the CAUSE of their illness. The healing is worth the investment.

I was referred to Dr. Herman Spies late July last year and was impressed from the start with the holistic and natural approach to educate and assist me in improving my overall health, zest for life and longevity. He has a structured and well explained approach to assist in remedying the imbalances and riding the body of past toxins which has been of immense value to me. At our first consultation I had complaints about fatigue, digestion and inflammatory problems when exercising and was struggling to loose weight. His assistance has improved my cholesterol levels, sugar levels , educated my on a more balanced diet and greatly improved my energy levels . I am now back to being able to do endurance events such as 60 to 70 km MTB events with climbs of over a 1000 meters and my body recovering very quickly and having no inflammatory problems. His structured plan has assisted me to partake in rigorous sport and have fun doing and being exercise 5 to 6 days per week.

To echo the other 5-star reviews, Dr Spies and his staff have been extremely helpful to me with my illnesses . Despite having a busy practice, I’m almost always able to schedule an appointment with Dr Spies. I’ve consulted many MDs in my life, whom could never give me a diagnosis and just hand me chemical based drugs to temporarily fix me. In this day and age where pharmaceutical companies run the doctors, it’s rare to find a doctor who is holistic, knowledgeable, accommodating, and concerned as Dr Spies. Thank you Dr Spies for your kind patience in teaching me how to heal me!

Expensive? Very! Worth it? Absolutely! If you have medical problems that you can't sort out in the traditional way, take a loan if you have to, because all I can say is that my health was deteriorating rapidly, and Dr. Spies treatment had me better than normal in just 2 months. I have since only been feeling better and better by keeping up with the supplements my body needed. I spent equally as much on various other specialists than I ultimately did at Dr. Spies. Only difference is that I got results from his treatment. Go for it, if you follow his directions as you should, I will bet on your health returns!

In 40 years of both researching and being a recipient of complementary and alternative healing modalities, I have not found such rich and comprehensive knowledge and expertise in one person as I have in Dr Spies. His integrative approach, phenomenal results look out for his book on healing cancer and beautiful way of working with people have blown me away - he comes highly recommended.

Dr Spies is thorough, friendly, informative and explains the entire process he is going through with the patient every step of the way. Whilst the price charged does seem expensive at first, once you go through the breakdown you realise that it's actually quite fair and reasonable especially as the price includes multiple diagnostic methods, where Dr Spies looks at one's health holistically spending an entire 2 hours with you. Should affordability be a problem, one is also given the choice of spreading the cost of treatment over a longer period in line with your financial situation. Being a holistic/intregrative health doctor, he also concentrates on the cure and not symptom suppression, which is bound to work out less expensive than the normal allopathic route over time. I really felt that he really covers every aspect of what could be leading to poor health issues, and was very impressed with his knowledge in his field and his concern in my well-being. He even had extensive knowledge with regards to questions regarding the best water purification and cell phone radiation measures one could pursue. I have total confidence in his methods, and am really looking forward to walking the path with him to full recovery.

Thank you dr Herman for not only helping my mom identify what her reason for continuous pain is something I might add regular dr’s and specialist couldn’t do. Only prescribe boxes full of pain medication And anti inflammatory medication with no end in site. But also helping my husband who got max 4hours sleep a night constant headache feeling tired all day with high blood pressure and cholesterol and struggle to loose weight resulting in back to normal sleep lost 4 kg after 6 weeks treatment and lowered blood pressure and I via zoom meetings in Saudi Arabia. Dr and his staff made it so easy for us to make the necessary changes in our habits and what we eat to see a difference straight away. We are stuck here In a country where normal herbal medication are not available. It makes it even harder but it was possible. My husband was very new to holistic treatment but was changed during his second assessment where a condition was identified even before any symptoms were felt. We never thought we could be helped so far away but it worked almost immediately. We listened and followed the instructions. Learned a lot about how our modern way of life has an effect on our bodies and minds Thank you you have changed our lives dramatically. You were our last resort and should’ve been the first. Our quality of life would’ve been so much better.

Herman Spies exhibits many characteristics of a snake oil salesman. The treatment is exceedingly expensive and it employs methods which can be described as pseudo-scientific at best. On first meeting the doctor, the new customer can expect a continuous barrage with canned material and phrases regarding his questionable treatment methods. Do not expect to feel particularly heard or listened to. Skeptical inquiries and questions are not addressed properly and generally do not seem welcome. I did not feel like the doctor or any of the other staff particularly cared for my well-being. In addition to the exorbitant consultation fee, the business model includes repeatedly selling overpriced supplements to the customer by making him/her feel lacking/deficient or "broken" and thus evoking a sense that the supplements are necessary. Whether or not the supplements are effective is another question entirely. Not only does the doctor have a manner which struck me as odd, but his receptionist is quite rude in a subtle underhanded sort of way. For instance, she comes across as slightly angry when you don't purchase the most expensive supplement package suggested by the doctor. To sum it all up: Do not waste your money or your time with this doctor.

Dr. Spies helped me to figure out my symptoms and the cause of it. He explains everything which gives power back to you in a time when nothing makes sense and symptoms just keeps piling up. The visits whilst expensive were soooo worth it!
