As an authorised financial services provider at the Financial Services Board (FSB nr: 13475) and accredited broker at the Council for Medical Schemes, we have been serving our nationwide client base for over 16 years.

Optivest’s business objectives and service offering include:
- Assistance and advice in selecting a medical scheme that is the best fit for the individual or group’s healthcare needs and budget

- Ongoing advice and support services with regards to queries the member or group have on their medical scheme and other complimentary health cover products.

Optivest only operates in the health cover environment. Medical schemes and medical scheme related products are our specialty. Our main objective is to assist and support our employer groups and the individual medical scheme member with ongoing support and access to the best products available.

Chene was not only friendly and compassionate. She was also super-efficient. She knows and understands the medical aid products and is able to offer advice to clients. She's the reason I would recommend Optivest Health Services to people who need assistance in choosing the right medical aid to suit their needs.
I signed up with Optivest in December 2022. The sales person was very enthusiastic until the deal was done. Making all sorts of promises about handling my med aid membership with company B and canceling my membership with company D. Since then the service has been downright poor. Mistakes were made in the underwriting and my monthly contribution went from R2067 as per the final offer to R2922 as per the membership certificate. No confirmation was sent re the cancellation of my contract with company D. Promises were made to have the error corrected, but to date I have not seen a new certificate stating the correct montly contribution. Emails and call back requests are ignored. I sent an email to their complaints department. Let's see if they respond but I'm not holding my breath. In conclusion Optivest delivers extremely poor service and no one should even think of signing up with them. I deeply regret doing so.

I have dealt with two consultants via email and absolutely no communication. Optivest please don't bother replying to my review. Your replies are probably an algorithm on repeat from a computer.
I would like to echo some of the comments other clients have made here the Opticest agents seem to care more about signing the deal and thereafter they are hard to get hold if. Dealt with Dillon Powell over a month ago. He signed my sister up on Fedhealth and said he would get back to me the following week to confirm if there would ve a waiting period on the medical aid. I have followed up multiple times via phone and email but could not get hold of him and have not heard back. I will not be proceeding with this service and sincerely hope they treat other clients better.
Worst experience ever regarding a simple question on Gap Cover for a procedure I am going to have been a member since 2016 Dean and Ashton in CT the supposed manager sounded quite disinterested in my request and could hardly find me on their system. I asked for a manager to escalate my enquiry, Asked for their surnames to report them, they refused and then put the phone down. Not scared to take their monthly premiums though, that department works overtime unfortunately the opposite when it comes to customer service.
My original deal with you guys was R1800 monthly. Now you guys are deducting R2210 monthly for one 5 year old boy. This is rediculis. Reduce you deductions or I cansel my membership!
BEWARE WHEN USING OPTIVEST, or any intermediary in that case. They offer no service whatsoever but take a monthly fee even when you don't belong to a medical scheme anymore. Very friendly staff that can only make decisions and comments based "on the system". Ensure you phone them when you've cancelled your medical, as they will continue to debit your account as they have for the last 6 months for me without any form of service whatsoever. As a matter of fact, besides signing me up, Optivest has served 0 purpose with regards to my medical scheme. I've always had to do the work through an app directly with Momentum, and even cancelling my Momentum membership I did through the app, yet, there was no explicit mention that they will be taking a fee every month regardless.
Pity there is not a zero rating. Consultant was rude. Clearly Afrikaans clients not welcome. For him it was a laughing matter.
Waste of time and money. When signing up, they tell you they assist with a long list of services, including following up with medical aid claims, then when you try and get assistance from them, they ignore you for weeks. I asked our contact at Optivest for weeks to please assist, and eventually said to cancel our subscription if he is not interested to which he responded with a cancellation. Absolutely disgusted!
