First, the people here are very friendly and helpful and their work is fantastic! I’m very pleased with the shirts and pants that I received. However, I ordered three pairs of shorts and one pair of pants and only received one pair of shorts and the pants. I understand that I asked them for a quick turnaround but I really wish I would have received everything because I was excited! Some things can’t be helped but I highly recommend visiting this place for clothing and for custom clothing.
Worse service ever. The only people that is important to them is tourist and..... They don't treat each customer the same. Made a suite for my husband and the black colour went out on the lighter colour. Took it back and show them. Almost a month now and still waiting on them to fix it. Pay again half of a new suites price and they only had to alter the pants, instead they sold the suite to someone from over sea after a few days my husband went back to collect it. I really hope for the customer sake they would change their ways and their thinking.
They made my birthday attire. They are willing to do alterations when you not happy with your outfit...
Ordered a beaded waist belt, had a consult and paid 50% deposit. It was a rush order, because they didn’t capture my initial order two days before. The beaded belt was for an important event, the beads serving as a traditional symbol. Upon collection, we find they didn’t bead the entire waist, only 3/4 of it. It was finished with strands - no clasps. It’s now 2 hours to my event...and I have an incomplete belt. I had no choice but to pay the full price. I feel disappointed and swindled.
Meiga Mali South and the team here are extremely talented tailors and really know their craft. The in-stock selection is vast. The staff is knowledgeable, and the choices are abundant. I look forward to returning to Capetown, primarily to shop here again in the future. I wanted to buy so much more, but I didn’t have enough luggage to fit all that I wished to purchase. I highly recommend Meiga Mali South.
Absolute joke! Do not buy anything here! Bought a shirt here for 750 rand and it took them 7 times to tailor it properly! When I brought it home and inspected it I noticed that a button was missing and there were multiple gaps and missing threads. Furthermore, the owner attempted to extort us and add a 10% fee for "credit card payments". Total thugs! Avoid this place!

I walked down down long st Cape town today and I find every African print online clothing store in one spot at Mali South Traditional African clothing. I love it and will be back before going home.
They can tailor whatever outfit to your African needs. The staff are also very patient. Only criticism is, their stuff is a tad expensive.
