I recently visited Dros and had a mixed experience that warrants a 3-star review. The restaurant itself was pleasant, and the food served was of good quality. However, there were a few aspects that left me somewhat disappointed. Firstly, one minor but noticeable issue was the lack of saucers provided when our meals were served. It may seem like a small detail, but it's those little touches that contribute to a more complete dining experience. It would have been nice to have saucers alongside our meals to enhance the presentation and avoid any potential mess. While seated in the bar area to enjoy the Man United match, we found the drinks to be quite enjoyable and up to par. However, one significant drawback was the intermittent muting of the match's sound. It was frustrating to have the audio cut out from time to time, as it detracted from the overall viewing experience. It would have been more enjoyable if the sound system had been consistent throughout the match. Despite these shortcomings, the food at Dros was still of good quality, and the restaurant itself had a pleasant atmosphere. If you're looking for a place to grab a bite and enjoy a casual setting, Dros might be worth considering. However, it's important to be aware of the potential issues with saucers and audio interruptions during live broadcasts. Edit: In the end they gave us paper plates which was very disappointing.

Extremely disappointing... Went to this place when it was still Papachino's restaurant some years ago, and thought we'd give Dros a try yesterday afternoon. Everything has gone waaaay backwards... Especially the food. Ordered the "Special grill" 300gram rump for R175. What you receive for that price is nothing short of a disgrace... The chips all 11 of them was especially bad.. The single slice of processed cheese on the steak- I just hoped it had all the plastic removed. The steak basting had a chemical taste. And the visits to the toilet last night just as bad.. The once great restaurant - such a loss to the area.. I normally try and post positive reviews to help businesses and not use this platform to complain. This case is different. Trying to help potential customers...

Terrible service. The manager on duty today was very rude. The steaks we ordered were not done well and he was fighting with us instead of apologizing. They also served us expired juices and still was defending himself. And his solution was to take the same steak and put it back on the stove. We allowed him to take 1 back and it still wasn't done well they just poured sauce on top. And we were not the only ones who asked to see the manager because of the bad food.

Amazing kiddie play area for mums looking to let the todlers run around while drinking a coffee. Unfortunately when I was there with family our food was very late, items were missing from the food, and the bill didn't represent what we consumed. Not sure if the waiter was new or what happend, but not keen on dinning there any Time soon Also the seafood platter was raw Kid-friendliness: 4 or more separate jungle gyms for them to play with

Unfortunately not a fun experience. Service was very slow and it was not that busy. The play area needs to be maintained better. A few tables on the outside seating area needs fixing. If you visit Dros Kyalami expecting the same aesthetic as the previous establishment you will be highly disappointed. Please upgrade as soon as possible. Your waiters are friendly and that's about it.

service isn't their strong point. food made us all sick. commented on my husbands review that they removed the items from our bill...of course we didnt even eat the stuff that you had brought to us. we still ended off paying 1500 for the disgusting food! they have a great place with nice facilities but they are just useless when it comes to food.

We had a wonderful time yesterday afternoon, we had lunch to celebrate our child's birthday. The service we got from Roxy was excellent, she is a star. The food was also very good and served hot. The kids enjoyed the play area and also the photo booth.

"Cancel culture "a concept that unfortunately will destroy livelihoods,a family visited Dros kyalami Wednesday night basically complained from the onset firstly a savanna coming cold out of the fridge wasn't cold enough fast forward to one family member complaining that chips were "cold"which prompted every family member now deciding theirs too were cold even though they hadn't touched or tasted them ,l however didn't dispute the claim but offered to rectify to which the father l assume decided "no we are now leaving we will pay for our drinks "which unfortunately they short paid the waitress and surprisingly not to long thereafter they posted how l the manager was arrogant it should be noted that l brought the food to the table with the waitress who was serving them ,claims of the food not looking like the images on the menu were made and that the burgers were flat .l was dumb founded,how should a burger patty look like l politely asked ,l even asked what would now happen to the food they ordered and not a single one of them cared they simply up and left .l do acknowledge and understand that patrons require excellent service as they are paying for it and we as a entity will endeavor to do so however when we come short may we be afforded the opportunity to address the matter and resolve ,today we weren't afforded that opportunity as is in some if not most cases social platforms become the best option to slander establishments and discourage other potential customers from visiting we only ask that we be afforded a opportunity to address in store failure to then resolve then we can be held accountable externally. I appreciate all the support from patrons who have visited us we will strive to provide exceptional customer service through all adversity and challenges that we face . Kind regards Max

Today, this store lost a loyal customer in me. The Dros website still states that kids eat for free on Sundays and to my surprise, the waiter tells me that the special was changed to Wednesday. When I asked the waitress to call the manager so that he can request Dros to change their website and state that it only applies to certain stores. The waitress came back with a message from the manager stating that each store has a right to change its specials. When I eventually confronted the manager about the misleading information on the website, he went on to tell me that their Facebook page has the update. As someone who does not use social media, there is no way I would have known this and therefore place 100% reliance on the Franchisor website as they are ultimately responsible for conveying all national specials information on behalf of the franchisee. Please as Dros to specific which stores their specials apply in as it is misleading. At the very least, at least have some information at the store to warn customers where the national specials differ to the franchise specials.

The place is beautiful and clean. But the service is very slow. Not friendly for people with babies as they get irritable and fussy. Our drinks were empty most of the time as we waited for the food . So we also became very irritable . Loved the place just wish we received better service. Will try again on Sunday
