Durbanite is a company established to highlight everything Durban has to offer. By creating an online platform, we serve to act as a Durban Guide, providing not only ‘Durbanites’ but also other visitors all the information they need to know about the city.
The name ‘Durbanite’ is derived from a slang word used by people living in Durban who refer to themselves as ‘Durbanites.’ We chose this name specifically to target the Durban region, and especially since South Africans are already associating people from Durban as ‘Durbanites.’
We discovered that there was a niche in the market for people who could look at reviews and gather insight as to what is happening in Durban itself, thus Durbanite.co.za was born. We aim to feature as many Durban businesses as possible, at the same time increasing their online presence.
