What a wonderful rose park to explore and relax, hidden in Durbanville. It's not too difficult to find and there's a helpful guide at the entrance to help you understand the different types of roses. The garden is well-maintained and it's a lovely spot for people to take wedding pictures please don't photo-bomb them. Neat and clean toilets are available on site and there's parking inside if you prefer. It does get very hot here in summer and a couple of extra shaded benches would be great.
What a beautiful sight to see. Here is a big variety of roses to see and entangle you in their beauty. A peaceful and relaxing place when you want to have a picnic or are planning a small get together. Would recommend visiting this place when you are in the area.
Very beautiful roses. Great place for picnic and photos. Would definitely recommend this place
Such a tranquil and beautiful place. The most beautiful roses I have ever seen.No entry fee.An amazing place to have your photos done.
It is a beautiful garden for a picnic or photoshoot. They DO HAVE A TOILET ON THE PREMISES. Make sure to bring your own toilet paper. They do not have any undercover picnic spots. Make sure to bring along sunblock. There is alot of parking space infront of the garden. The facility is well kept. We enjoyed our experience at the Durbanville rose garden.
Loved the smell of all the roses. Enjoyed a picnic under shade with these wonderful views.
By entering a place you get a different perspective, you are putting your senses to work especially if it is in the nature set up. Hearing about what others have to say and going to experience it yourself, looking at pictures does not do this garden justice. Look at it when arriving at this place, look at the white painted building. It's like a portal you walk through when getting at the exit on te other side. It's plain but this building is the gate way to a magnificent rose garden, my first and breath taking. I could not believe what I was seeing with my eyes, it is a place that is hidden away and needs to be explored by nature lovers. The smell of flowers are overwhelming so bring your pump and allergy medication just incase, be prepared. There is some bees as well buzzing around because they are doing there job in the cycle of life, working the roses, so be aware. This is quite a big area so know that you will be walking abit, don't be fooled by the look from the outside. It is hiding away the fact that there is an experience waiting on you and I am not a rose fan, so it is big for me to say this.
Smaller than expected, about the size of a rugby field, but very pretty. Beware that it is a public space, so when we went, there was a loud birthday party which ruined any kind of mood. But fairly well kept, and worth a visit
It was very quiet on the day we visited. Entrance is free. The garden was well maintained with countless beautiful roses of various colours and variants to admire, neatly cut green lawns, perfect for a picnic just be careful of mud puddles in a few places, safe, easily accessible from the front entrance and provided many perfect photo opportunities.
Beautiful garden especially during the summer months. Grass is kept short and neat. Entry is free. Jungle gym also available for kids to play on. The beddings are unkempt but they were busing cleaning them when were there. In general, great place to stop and smell the roses.
