The gym inside is nice but the service is terrible. Promo's are a scam since they will always find some kind of loophole to not follow through with the promo. I was told I would receive January and February free however this is now not the case since my debit order for December had issues due to THEIR SYSTEM as confirmed by an agent. I was advised by customer care to the sales rep who sold me the contract Yena Gajana who then also referred me back to customer care. So along with a physical workout, you can also expect a ton of mental gymnastics. The gym inside is really good and the equipment is great, but you better pray you do not run into any account related issues. Again, don't fall for any of their promo's - they will find a way to ensure that you do not receive what was promised even if it's not your fault and will basically just shrug their shoulders with no resolution.
Virgin active K90 Centre. I decide to join the gym at the end of September 2022, I was informed by the sales consultant that I would receive 3 free months and my first debit would go off on the 20th of October 2022, my partner was witness to this conversation. On the 5th of September virgin active tried to debit my account and was unsuccessful. I contacted the sales person at k90 Centre to tell her I was debited not as agreed she told me to call head office which I did only for head-office to inform me I would not longer get 3 months free as the initial debit was not successful I informed her I was told the first debit would be the 20th and she said I must take it up with the club. I then called Natasha and arranged to speak to the admin lady who sat down with me and informed me that unfortunately all she can do is write off my payment that went off the 5th and was unsuccessful she will then reverse my debit on the 20th of October to allow me to get my second free month and will then pay as per normal from the end of November. on the 20th of October the debit went through and I contacted Natasha again to follow up on refund but the story then changed again between her, the stand in and the GM. Suddenly I would no longer be refunded I was told numerous times the GM would contact me but this was never done, back and forth for almost a week to be told i cannot be refunded as they cannot process a credit back to me they would however credit my account and i would not be debited for 20th November. I got an sms this week that now unravels this whole story again as the SMS stated that i was debited in error for November and will be refunded , November meaning my 20th October payment so i dont know what to believe anymore. Virgin active head office please sort this out as a 12 month contract payer i most certainly wont be renewing if this is the customer service experience I received from Gm's and sales people alike.
Awesome gym, has all amenities. Pool a bit warm for swim training.
It's a good gym and the staff are helpful on most days. The admin process can require patience and perseverance, but the facility is more than worth it as a Vitality member - couldn't afford it otherwise for both my wife and I. Would love to see an introduction of more equipment, but what they have is enough.
The best gym in the East! Spacious inside and largest free weight/bodybuilding section by far! The cardio section is also just as big. Very convenient business hours too!
My experience with Virginia active has been a really poor start as by debit orders weren't going off, I catch up with payments, then back to square square one, whereas it's my fault that debit orders weren't pulling through.... Almost left the gym... Kennedy Karabo saved the gym from losing someone and really went out his way to ensure I needs were met... Please share the feedback with the ret of the team as he really understands the importance of business.... Let's hope that I don't encounter any further problems with my debit orders... Anthony W
Virgin active boksburg where do I begin. Never/ rarely answers their phones. Updates made to our accounts neglected. Giving us false information about status of our accounts. Closed an hour before their stated closing time. Always happy to help us but only if its in their best interests. More than happy to take my money but never fulfills their duties/promises/requested tasks set out by none other than the CUSTOMER. Thank you virgin active for making my monthly budgeting even harder with debit orders that never go off when stated and from the wrong accounts aswell. Truely job well done.
Never seem to be able to answer a phone call or give a proper answer when asking a question. I am quite disappointed as I joined the branch due to the fact that it was marketed to be the best and I did enjoy it but it is off putting when you have an inquiry and you get a rude answer. The staff are quite rude too, with one or two being the exception.
Facilities are well maintained, steam room. A great sized pool. Kauai outlet on the premises a bonus. A sport massage specialist at the gym. Friendly staff. Wheel chair accessibility and with adequate signage. Parking is an abundance at K90. Gym for young and old, fit and unfit.
Absolutely beautiful place to work out with all facilities available great atmosphere
