Elardus Park Post Office

I have only ever had really good service at this post office. A few months ago a person whom I assume acts as a guard and sprays ones hands has been making a visit to the PO very difficult. He sent me off to go and make a copy of my id to withdraw Sassa, which no-one has ever asked for in years and did not do so on this day. Another time he simply told me to go away. The last time I was there he told me to wait at the taxi rank because that is where the queue is - the friendly lady at the counter then called me to the counter - there was not one other person in the PO. He seems to entertain himself by being as obstructive as he can be. I have never been anything but polite to him but this happens everytime. A shame - this has always been a PO with excellent service.

This is for the indian lady manning the queues at Elardus Park Post Office, who refused for my elderly, disabled aunt to be assisted with her Sassa blocked card matter - shame on you, all post offices are equipped to perform this service. We ended up getting assistance a week later at another post office, even though granny was exposed to covid and sitting in a boiling vehicle. I rest easy knowing that karma is king...

I went the day before to ask some questions and get a form. The service was really good and helpful. The following day I went for a disc renewal. If I spent 10min there it was a lot. I was helped quickly, efficiently and with a friendly face. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars was due to the phone not being answered the day before.

I renew my Post Box every year through the Virtual Post Office but every year my Box is locked around end of February for whatever reason - probably because they think that I have not paid my renewal. Now I have to spend extra time to convince the people at the Post Office that I have paid!. And they do not answer their phone so I have to go in to fix this!

Went to the Post Office today to sort out a few traffic fines and although there was only one teller on duty it was so refreshing dealing with a competent and friendly person, namely RITA!!! Thanks lady for your excellent service.

Wow wow wow!!! Went to renew something this morning. No queue, excellent service!! I was amazed and thank you sooooo soooo much for making my day!! In and out in 3 minutes..... 10 out of 10

The post office in general can be a schlep, but THIS post office actually has really great employees! Rita and the guys are usually able to help me in ways that other post offices refuse to.

I paid my post box renewal fee December 2016 and now my box is locked and the post office system apparently shows that I did not pay the renewal fee. I now need to waste time convincing them that I did!

Plan more time than the suggested 15 minutes to spend at this post office. No clear indication in which queue one needs to be so you might get to the front and there won't be someone to assist you with your query. Very unorganised, unprofessional and slow service.

Please don't tell everyone about the frienly and efficient service of this post office......Dont want it to get crowded!!!
