Such an interesting museum! We learned some fascinating things about Zulu culture. Also about the history of the industry in the area. Good art works and sculptures to see. They're open Mon to Fri 9am to 4pm.
Lovely welcoming by the staff who were willing to give our team as researchers their valuable time. It would be lovely for the place to be marketed well within the area example clear advertising to draw people in
I really enjoyed my visit to the Empangeni museum today! Lots of local art was on display from the high schools in the Umhlathuzi area, which was interesting and enjoyable to see. The museum section of Zulu and Zululand sugarcane farming history was very interesting, although it is only a small section. It would be wonderful if more could be added to these collections and the museum made more widely known. I didn't know it existed before today, but I'm happy I found it and went.
Good experience, a very interesting and nice place you owe to visit
This museum could be so much better than it is if the staff working there cared a bit more about maintaining the building and the displays. There is much opportunity to make this museum a place that people want to visit.
There's a restaurant, that has the best breakfast called Iziko restaurant newly open
Gotta book for a tour otherwise you will battle but it's very interesting
If you love your history, this is the place to be. An awesome life tree of Zulu kings from Shaka to Zwelithini can be found there
You need to go and see Willis Mthembu`s wood carvings, really amazing
Such a useful place, they provide some skills for free.
