Escondido Tapas

What a fantastic restaurant. Great decor and vibe. Great selection of craft beers. Food was great. Were in a big group so ordered lots of tapas. Best dishes were melanzane, fried gnocchi with rump steak cubes in a gorgonzola sauce and fried risotto balls. Good service and convenient parking.

The food was creative I really enjoyed it! Wine list was great, a good large variety of local and international wines. Ambiance casual and social. Just need to train the waitering staff more. And I felt the table settings where a little too close to each other for my liking. Overall I had a great time.

Just irresistible. Great selection of tapas allowing you to get a taste of just about anything on the menu, providing your friends or family that are with you will allow you to taste some of what they have. Awesome wine and cocktail selection. Vibe is cool

One of my favourite places for tapas. Some of the stand out dishes include the paella, crispy thighs with polenta, arancini, truffle fries, pumpkin fritters, and on the sweet side, the Escondido Mess and the salted caramel were certified hits. They also have an extensive wine collection that caters to every palate.

Great tapas place! Menu changes weekly and there's a great selection of small plates to choose from. There's also great service and the manager is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a date night

I certainly enjoyed sharing Wine and Tapas with my friends, this restaurant is so intimate and very relaxing. It's based in illovo at a small shopping center but once you are inside you feel like you are in a different place. The setting is amazing. The food alongside the wine is infused with amazing flavors. I certainly have never had an experience such as this at any restaurant, where I just wanted to keep eating. It's an amazing place to hang out with friends at any given time of the day.

This is one of our favourite places for a delicious meal as a date night or to enjoy with a group of friends. We have never left hungry but it can get a little pricy as you nibble your way through the menus. The best option is to come hungry and share in a variety of dishes for the table, at least on your first round of ordering, then get the ones you enjoyed again in the next round. Great setting but bookings are a must.

Great atmosphere and very creative tapas. As a vegetarian, there was a variety that was enjoyed by the entire dinner party. However it is unclear whether they cater for vegans as the waiters could not give us any clarity on specific ingredients. The chefs should mark the menu specifically with vegan options.

Great food and great wine. We went on a Monday and it was buzzing. Table favourites were deep fried mac and cheese and the spicy black bean thingies. The place does get quite noisy. But that may be the wine and cocktails kicking in.
