Europcar

I was disappointed for not getting the car I had requested given the terrain of where I was going & worse there clear signs of rain. At least I could have been called to inform me of this unavailability - since I was specific in my booking remarks. When I got to the King Shaka branch, I expected the service to be better, but what can I say.......

Pranesh and his manager were great at the Durban branch. They were considerate and understanding. They went above and beyond albeit load shedding prevailed at the time of pickup. Pranesh has a great people's touch. I was even accomodated with a desk to do a meeting from my PC when doing the car drop off. The Europcar call centre needs alot of work however - they do not work well with Hollard and always confusion prevailing with the Europcar telephonic crew. Pranesh and his manager make all the difference with their customer focus - well done Europcar Durban team!

So to continue on the events of my last review....they instead of replying to my email, they not only kept my deposit of over 200$ they charged my credit card over 300$ with apparent damage charges that we still have no idea about. We were not around when they apparently found these damages. Apparently these so called damages came AFTER Hours AFTER we delivered the car and it was inspected as "perfect". So I guess the woman who inspected our car and passed us--lied to us?!?!? that makes no sense. In any case, I asked for proof, etc....instead of replying to my email with a proper report, nope just an invoice and I paid service fees?!?!? Took money from my card. With a Thank you for choosing Europcar. Needless to say we are pursuing them for our money back that is now a total of over 1000$!!!!! Horrified.

I put shoes in the front passenger seat of the car as I was going to drop it off 5 minutes before closing time. When I called the following morning at 8am nobody had seen them

Worst customer service ever. I am still waiting for their callback to clarify the booked hired vehicle delivery from Thursday. Today is Saturday evening

I have used 4 different Europcars in my life as I rent vehicles 3 to 4 times a year from Europcar.. Today I decided to use Durban Downtown.Friendly and accommodating staff.. however the car I was given was not cleaned, washed OR sanitized.. during COVID-19 mind you. Shocking and I am highly disturbed by this.. fingerprints everywhere on the windows and steering wheels... Pizza crumbs and food inside the car everywhere.. mud on the carpets and pedals... Please do yourself a favor and spend the extra R50 petrol money going to Umhlanga or King Shaka.. as these branches follow COVID-19 protocols and actually clean the cars before clients pick up. Update: the car has an unbearable rancid stench when the car is closed for 30 min or more!!

Service was average no variety & cars are a bit old. Please buy new specs

Friendly and efficient staff. I returned a rental car to this branch and the whole process was very fast, I was literally there for 5 minutes.

No hassle just smooth, I enjoy the service

Poor Poor Poor customer service. I have a serious issue with the hire car just picked up.Its sound like lawn mower on the road, there are scratches all over the body and one big bad patch on the passages side. I have never seen a hire car with so much scratches and dirt. This is disgraceful for a reputable company. Please can you assist me sort out this matter urgently! I await your response
