I found the one hostess didnot understand my diet requirements: Gluten free Dairy free - lactose Diabetic type 2 Perhaps more training required on diets. I was only in for 2 days. Second day I had a very good hostess who helped me with the correct food. Meals had very small protein. Management or the ‍ chef to get involved in special diets.
Fedics cater for our food in our private hospital - and over the last 10 years I have worked here as a specialist doctor we get the worst food in theatre ever ! Today we got served a snack bowls with a few chips, tennis biscuits all garnish with mint ! Don’t these caterers know anything about food at all !!!
Do not support this company by acepting there terrible food and service , I have been constantly and consistantly dissapointed with every single item they offer. any person recovering in a hospital or working hard for a company deserves way better than this , lets stand together and ensure that this slop is not fed to another single human being - patient at wits donald gordon hospital
If i could give zero I would, your food is horrible. One would think if you are catering for people admitted in a hospital you would put in more effort. Being couped up in a hospital and not being alliwed visitors is awful enough, but opening the plate of food u offer people is beyond terrible. Your food is always cold, and you know well in advance what people have ordered and you cant even make the means to get it. Your people just bring food that one did not order and just say what you ordered is not there??? Really?? You are not providing charity work, we pay for this half service you provide.. I have been admitted to Mediclinic Morningside on 1 January 2019 again after being sent home for a few weeks. This time I have been subjected to the worst experience as a result of your staff and lack of their willingness to provide me with a bowl of soup or any meal that I can have within my dietary requirements. I have sever IBS, a peptic & gastric ulcer and a muscle disease called myasthenia gravis. I am on extremely strong meds including morphine & Mestinon which I am now taking orally. These apart from my other meds are extremely strong and when I take them on an empty stomach I throw up uncontrollably and literally want to die with the pain that is then induced. Over the past 2 days I begged the staff here for some soup, the soup only I received to date is the soup family purchased for me. The doctors stress out the importance of me having proper meals and and my meds in the hospital for them to see the progress, etc. How is this possible when I only have the meds and no food to have before it??? As mentioned, I have been begging for food, due to not having received anything yesterday, I had no alternative but to take my meds on an empty tummy as I could no longer tolerate the pain. I was then called for an mri and ct, I began throwing up like crazy, a sister had to come down to me and give me iv meds to stop the vomiting. Had your staff been able to care for the patient/me who has already paid for my food, I would have not had to go through that ordeal yesterday. They must understand them bringing us food is not charity or hand outs from them but food that should be served with pride and love as per the patients dietary requirements. Apart from all that, I opened my plate yesterday morning hoping I would have something edible, my surprise the chicken livers were oozing with blood. The host was still in my room and was quite embarrassed and immediately took it away. He then again promised me a bowl of soup which I am yet to receive. I will be contacting the hospital board and want to be refunded for all my meals that ate included in the price I pay to stay here. I am not sure if this is the way your company operates or something is specifically wrong at this hospital, whichever it is, it is not acceptable! private not government, however the standard set here is quiet the contrary. I do hope there is some logical explanation for this. I would like to end by saying, a patient can die without sufficient nutrition while on excessively strong medication and with severe medical conditions. How would each one of you feel if I was your family member or child going through this???
Please note - I am placing this for a friend, not for me, I have nothing to do with Fedics:- You have to wonder if FEDICS CATERING is going the same way as so many other companies that just do not make it – down - seeing that they are not paying the people who work for them and often also short paying staff. Or is there something else going on?? I have a friend who was working for FEDICS CATERING part-time and has been waiting for her payment since May 2019. Calling their HR or salary department does not help at all, they all blame one another or is just plain vague and “does not know why the salary has not been paid yet”. We would like to know if there are other people who work for FEDICS CATERING who is also not being paid or short paid. My friend is not going to let them get away with this and is considering various options to expose them and she will also be contacting the ombudsman.
Canteen has fresh and amazing food as they are a Catering Company for major South African organisations in different sectors.
Terrible services at standard bank. staff is arrogant and does not care about the customer, they only care about making the sale of unseasoned food. I've had food contamination numerous times that I've bought food from here.
They do not respond to emails iro BAD service delivery.
