I was my first time to attend this festival. I’m happy everything was well organised. And the place was safe
Bit quiet this year, but great enthusiasm from audiences. Various comedians and musicians entertained, art exhibits could be seen on the street corners.
Amazing shows and wide variety. I enjoyed everything that I selected. Unfortunately, one show was canceled, and no notification was given.
Scifest running at this moment - from 6th - 12th March 2019. Lots of activities. School going children are learning and having great fun at the same time. Most historically disadvantaged children are granted the opportunity to access resources that they do not have access to at school. Such a a noble event. Brilliant!
Excellent experience. The shows were awesome, thought-provoking and entertaining. The town events around e festival was fun, charming and family friendly.
11 Days of Amazing. This festival has something for everyone. Dance, Drama, Music, Comedy, Family Theatre and features the best jazz festival in the country.
After a 2 year absence, this is a welcome and very happy turn of events to see the National Arts Festival held here in its proper home. The event was well planned and very nicely attended. All praise to the organizers, it seems to have bounced back even better than before. Expect excellent live performance art, great food, the finest crafts from around South Africa, and a wonderful festive atmosphere. Safe, clean and beautiful old buildings and architecture in this historically significant area, the National Arts Festival is well worth the time and effort.
We went to see the settlers monument. It was okay, unfortunately it's not set up with visitor information about the place, it's history and why it came about that they erected the monument. The place has a great view over Grahamstown.
Good shows and excellent weather
Lovely festival, and it never fails to amaze every year. The show selection is always very good. There is a good mix of well known performers and younger, but still good performers. There are options for all ages and interests. The village green is also fun to pay a visit to. Good food selection and lots of interesting little shops selling craft items, clothes and many great things.
