Lake Florida is a nice place to relax for a picnic or a barbeque with family and friends. The lake boasts of massive waterfowl and there is canoeing classes for kids free of charge on weekends.

When you're arnd roodepoort and want to chill and rest while kids are playing and enjoying the view of the lake this is de place for sure. Come and enjoy a Sunday picnic here

Its reasonable good fishing spot on the one side of the dam membership is required to fish on the quiet side of the dam, as far as the side for families its not clean the water is full of litter and up keep is poor

It has the natural beauty of a lake however weeds seem to be taking over the East and West ends, including some of the tributaries. Perfect for sport fishing.
