1. To share the talents and stories of both local and international writers through informal, lively, and stimulating discussions in venues throughout the village.
2. To encourage a vibrant culture of reading and writing in school children of all ages, through the FLF Book Week for Young Readers, which is held in the week leading up to the main festival each year.
3. To raise a substantial contribution towards building a new community library, and supporting libraries in schools in the the Franschoek valley, ensuring a variety of books are available in local languages to all.
Tickets are available from www.webtickets.co.za. Unless otherwise indicated, ticket prices for the FLF are R70 per session (R20 for students), with a large part of the proceeds going to the FLF Library Fund. Tickets go on sale by mid-March — check this page for the announcement.
