I love the staff here, they were really nice. Also, the breakfast is great and I loved there were coffee and juice machine for a quick self service. The hotel has a gym which is open 24/7 and can be accessed by your key card. Also they have a running generator to meet power cuts which is great. For dinner plans, Mike's kitchen is available and they can also do room service which is great. The hotel is located near the beach and other eating joints which are all 3-4 minutes walk. Things to take note of: -There no halal menus for breakfast so better stick to vegetarian options. - Some rooms have ironing facilities and it has to be requested. - Limited drawers on bed post or table to slide in stuff but you can use the cupboard. -Swimming pool is so small.
We checked in just before 24H00 due to unforseen circumstances. Check in very effectively, and we asked for breakfast packs. The hotel is very clean, and you can see that management is having a close look at all corners that are likely to be missed. The rooms are well equipped, toiletries well appointed, crisp, white linen, and towels. The breakfast packs have been divine, great coffee. We did not have time to have breakfast, but I had a sneak preview before we had to leave, and I was sure we lost out on a great English breakfast. All over all a hotel that is just recommendable!
Garden Court Kings Beach Hotel helped us out with a walk-in reservation, when the place we booked for the night let us down, last minute. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. It was after seven at night and we were tired and messy, as we had been driving for hours, and still we were treated with excellent, friendly service. The room was spick and span. Not a thing out of place. Beds with fresh clean linen, bathroom was spotless. The next morning we had a month watering breakfast buffet. Exceptional service.
Best view of the ocean! Friendly helpful staff and the room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful ocean view. Breakfast was good with a fair selection. No decent coffee though, you are stack with a machine-spit-out latte.
There was a mishap, we were allocated a room which was not cleaned. I am glad that when we reported to reception, it was fixed immediately. We were allocated a clean room. Thank you to the great staff for their service. Rooms: Clean rooms Nearby activities: The beach is a walk away, lots of restaurants around. And activities for kids are a lot. Lots of activities to keep anyone busy, irrespective of age. Safety: The parking is safe Walkability: All activities are a walking distance. Noteworthy details: The hotel is close to all activities. Their breakfast is to die for
Smooth checkin, backup power, friendly and customer oriented, perfect location and clean. Get rid of odorous carpet in hallways. Rooms: Meet the basic requirements needed for a hotel room Nearby activities: Beach and restuarants
Receiving and Receptionist , no staff at Reception had to call and wait for some odd minutes Great location Dinner was Breakfast buffet was The hotel needs some upgrades i.e changing the carpets, upgrading to Smart TVs , fridge in the roomconvenient when I stay almost a week, bottled water atleast one bottle per day
Had a conference here for two days and stayed one night. The conference areas are fine, however, the WiFi is spotty making it difficult to do things in a timely fashion. The bathrooms are also a walk away, so you can't pop out quick for the bathroom. They have two bathrooms for each gender - we were a group of 100. A tea Break was chaos. Room: I was on the 11th floor. Nice view. However, as I was taking a picture, my phone was against the window and the window pushed opened almost lost my phone 11 stories down because the latch on the window is broken. Aircon did work. Room was clean. 1 shower cap and 1 body wash caused hives when used and smells like a cleaning chemical to share between 2 people. TV channels were mainly sport. The toilet wouldn't stop running and filling up without you having to lift the lid and adjusting the floater each time. You can't take a bath because there is no plug. The shower is inside the bath. The glass door isn't adequate and lots of water got out, messing all over the floor causing a slippery hazard. The phone wasn't working. So I asked the front desk. Maintenance replaced it. It worked for 20 seconds and then stopped. Room service couldn't be dialed. Had to visit Mike's Kitchen to order. Waited about 40 minutes for the order. We ordered smalls pizzas. They came in large boxes wasteful, and were smaller than any small pizza ever. Most likely those frozen pizzas from the shops. R50 and R60 each ? Ridiculous. Breakfast was better and a buffet. No fridge in the room either and you have to purchase water at R25 a bottle. Wouldn't recommend for the prize they charge per room.
Great location but the hotel needs some upgrades. Small screen TV , no fridge in the room, no bottled water supplied, aircon doesn't blow out hot air. Let's not forget about the awful smell coming from the bathroom in the morning, this wasn't such a great stay.Rooms: 2/5
Very close to all amenities, excellent breakfast, very very bad in terms of rooms, no bar fridge, very small TV, limited channels to watch and the worst.....must buy your own water to drink as it is not complimentary, very disgustedRooms: 2/5
