Very nice modern hotel with good decent facilities and friendly staff. Big spacious room. Clean and functional. Big TV and good selections of amenities in room. Appreciate the big window overlooking the sea. F&B is easy and has a separate restaurant and bar. Can get busy. Service is prompt and friendly. Breakfast options is decent. Only one suggestion is to move the cupboard next to the bed away or move the bed away as the sharp edges is a hazard in middle of the night as you reach out to grab your phone. See photo of the bed and cupboard below. And yes, I hit my head on the edges in the dark of night. Rooms: Big spacious room. Clean and functional. Big TV and good selections of amenities in room. Appreciate the big window overlooking the sea. Walkability: 2.5km to the airport junction passing many restaurant and mall. Short boardwalk opposite the hotel to the beach. Food & drinks: Restaurant and bar available on level R where it overlook the balcony. Good choices and quality. Good selection of drinks and prompt service.
Radisson always a lovely experience for me regardless of the city. I'll say though that there needs to be more signs directing patrons to parking spaces. I drove around and didn't see any parking and no one to ask! Eventually had to park inside a shopping mall who were gracious enough to allow me to park while I enquire from the hotel. I found out there was underground parking, who knew? Perhaps signage would've assisted. Other than that, always a lovely experience at the Radisson Blu.
Very bad experience with the staff. I was not allowed to order in on the first day, and was told I can do the buffet. I dished out there and when to the room. The next they tell rules have changed, they've made menu. And I can't do as I did the day before. They were arrogant about it and it seems they had no interest in assisting.
I wisit quarterly with my son during school holiday. Rooms are clean. Great view and friendly service. Breakfast is always delicious. Flap-jacks on request, freshly prepared. The maintenance guy is top notch! Reported a problem qith TV in room and he was there within minutes to sort out. He is definitely an asset to the hotel.
Overall, I had a great experience with the Radisson Blu Hotel, Port Elizabeth. Staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to rest. It's made my holidays much better. Thank you so much :-Rooms: 5/5
They deserve a two star, there is no maintenance, basins are blocked, Air conditioning system not heating up. Room service does not exist, I checked in on Wednesday evening around 19:30 and ordered food through room service, after one hour I made a follow up since I was told they will be delivered within 30 minutes. All they said was food is on they way, 23:00 food was still on the way until I checked out the following day.
Great location. However more care can be taken to make sure everything in the room works, like TV remote, bath tub plug. Room service also takes longer than expected. No assistance with luggage at checkin. Otherwise friendly staff. Clean and comfortable.Rooms: 3/5
One of the worst hotel to say, had a very very bad experience, service is worst, the rooms are smelly. 1st room where i stayed the light of the room didn't turn on and even after complaining multiple times they didn't fix it, and then i got another room after long struggle and then the sink doesn't work. i mean wow! and again even after complaining multiple times the service people don't come. and they didn't fix. Just imagine having a long day and you want to take shower and the service man doesn't show up. Pls don't stay in this hotel. it has got the worst service
I got the suite with oceanic view. It was big and had amenities, however, the furniture was not well taken care of and the room was dirty. Had a couple of weird interactions with fellow guests one was drunk and very pushy towards my friend, while we clearly showed discomfort.
Nice sea view rooms with brilliant services! Only the size of the standard rooms is not big, suites are fine. It's location is the best in PE!Rooms: 4/5
