This page is dedicated to our love of Summerstrand, surfing and friends nearby, friends from far and wide and new friends we've made along the way. This page is also dedicated to great food and great memories.

"Something Good is the iconic beachfront roadhouse that dates back to the 70's situated in Summerstrand Port Elizabeth.A place for young and old, we cater for everyone. Occupying a beautiful location on Pollock Beach we serve a roadhouse menu with fresh seafood options. The restaurant often has live music and along side is a kiddies play area for the little ones. In addition to the restaurant we have an ice cream parlous and also serve food to your car from our take away section.Burgers, Pizza, Seafood, Steaks are what we are known for. It is also no secret that have the best milkshakes and ice cream in PE.Make us part of your visit to PE and experience a part of what makes this city special."

Fantastic view. Service a bit slow and beef patties on burgers do not match the asking price of the burger and is comparable with PnP store bought patties that contain some soya and this is a real let down. Except for that all good. Will visit again. Shakes are great. Great swimming spot for little kids 200m north of the restaurant.Food: 3/5
This good old fashioned roadhouse was a treat. Initially we only wanted to drive past 'for memory sake'. They have the traditional stop and order, inside and outside seating - and live music playing. We decided to go in for a drink and what a pleasant surprise; the place was full and the vibe relaxing and cozy. We had the best meal and the service was super fast. If we ever want to have fresh from the ocean fish again, this will be our place of choice.
Great location for taking the family because it's got the beach right next to it and a nice outdoor playground for the children. Food and coffee was decent, we ordered the calamari and chips. Service on the other hand definitely needs improvement. The waiter seemed annoyed with us asking questions about the menu and forgot requests we made several times to the point, I had to go and look for him. Beautiful restaurant to go to but must have a thick skin for the service you'll get here.
I have no strength to go into detail on how horrendous the service was so ill comment on the food which I thoroughly enjoyed. Horrible smoothies tho. Worst mango smoothie I've ever had. Their onion rings & sweet potato fries were my highlight. As for their service yho nkosi yam Had 3 different waiters and each one worse than the previous. Couldn't wait to eat and leave. Stick to the drive thru if you can coz once you're indoors and seated. A mess my darlings. I can imagine how worse the service gets when it's actually busy.
Ever since I can remember we have been treated to a something lekker by Something Good From the buzz of the full restaurant which overlooks the bay out to Pillock Beach. An awesome outdoor lay space for the young ones to blow off some steam either in the jungle gyms provided or in the peddle carts around the track. Mostly there have been a live entertainment bringing a happy upbeat vibe to the hungry crowds sipping in their favorite shake or ale. I have never been disappointed with any of the dishes I have ordered over the years. Their burgers are a treat to look at and eat and their calamari was simply delightful and was most certainly a great portion: Over seasons the waiting time is a tad much but the helpful waitron staff are always great and helpful!

A restaurant on the beach! Good to have a good breakfast while you can hear the Waves and smell the sea. Great restaurant, they music gets a bit depressing at times maybe sooner more upbeat music would create a better cosy atmosphere. Like the location with a sea view. Plenty of free parking. Lekker food. Kids will enjoy playing outside. Parents can enjoy their meals and still have a watchfull eye over the kids.Food: 4/5
5 stars not given as I feel this place is the best spot along our beachfront however I feel it's a little tired now, tables need a good clean, cutlery needs cleaning and sharpening, bottles with sauces need to be cleaned around the lids, all very sticky. We just don't enjoy putting our hands on anything hereFood: 3/5
