The Coachman Restaurant in Summerstrand

My sister in-law took me to the The Coachman during Festive season. It was busy as expected but service was great. We didn't wait a long time for our food. The food was good, portions are big, I had left overs from the ribs and had them for lunch the next day. Was really good. You might have a challenge getting a parking slot but then couldn't have been because it was during Festive time. I definitely recommend.

Had a late lunch here. Beautiful atmosphere and equally great servers. This place is great for groups. The halloumi starters were scrumptious and the surf n turf was alright. Had a virgin mojito which was very refreshing. Overall a good experience. Recommend for groups as it got noisy around us when we were there.

This isn't Hooters—it'd be nice if the restaurant emphasized less on its all-white female wait staff and their outfits. The service was good and the food stood up on its own, so it confuses me why the proprietor runs the front-of-house like this. Some diversity would be nice too, given this is South Africa. Onto the food: escargot had a bit of a spill and coloring issue, and the ostrich was poorly plated. I did not like the saucing for the ostrich, and the medallions were more rare than medium-rare. Creme brulee custard was quantity over quality: not yolk-rich and made with a thickener.

A lovely restaurant near to the beach. Greek theme and quite lovely. Good food at reasonable prices served by lovely and friendly waitresses. We had loads of fun and were quite happy with the experience. I recommend.

The prawns, lamb chops we ordered was really tasty. The starters crumbed mushrooms and jalapeño poppers was yummy. The chicken kebabs was not great. The place is in a beautiful location with a wonderful view. Our waiter was new but he did such a great job especially on such a busy night.

This is an amazing restaurant. All the staff is amazing and delightful to talk to. The food is superb and they have a large menu of items. Excellent seafood.

We received a very warm welcome here. Our waitress was friendly and forthcoming with information when we had questions. She checked on us regularly, making sure we had everything we need. This cozy spot serves delicious food in generous portions, at an affordable price. It's a favorite for many, hence booking in advance is advised! I would recommend it for your first date, a private party, or your regular family dinning.

The infamous Coachman Restaurant lived up to it’s name! Recently revamped and super stylish - we felt a little underdressed but were made to feel so welcome. The sea view was beautiful and the service was excellent. We tried many different starters and shared amongst 4 of us - thumbs up on the following delicious food: 1. Natalie’s Delight - calamari tubes and fried squid heads 2. Halloumi 3. Avocado ritz 4. Fried calamari tubes 5. Focaccia with Feta 6. Oysters We also tried the cocktails: 1. The frozen margarita was disappointing. Not enough balance in the flavors 2. Cosmopolitan was great 3. Strawberry Dacquiri

Seafood: Kingklip/Crayfish/prawns/shrimp/squid heads/tubes/oysters/mussels/etc. It's an intriguing restaurant. You will have panoramic views {~of the ocean~, of course.} Enjoy!
