Description

Open to both day visitors and resident guests, you can celebrate the wild by enjoying a bush game drive, elephant interaction, a walk with the elephants, a hilltop sundowner, or simply sitting on the deck watching the wildlife go by. The lodge boasts an a-la-carte restaurant, bar, swimming pool, library, TV lounge and curio shop.
Glen Afric is home to the Wild at Heart television series and guests can view the homestead where the filming took place.

I went here recently to go see the elephants, it was honestly one of the most amazing moments of my life! All the staff were so lovely and friendly. We spent around half an hour with the elephants getting photos, feeding and stroking them! We were in a group of ten but it didn’t feel crowded and we all got so much opportunity to be close to the elephants. They all look so happy and very well looked after, I would recommend this to anyone!
We had a 2-day conference and everything was amazing. The food was out of this world and the staff we very attentive. Rooms were well appointed and neat and clean. The safari with elephant interaction was an incredible experienceRooms: 5/5
we were attending a wedding yesterday 29 October. Wow what an experience, in the wild with the animals, the tranport, the view, each and every staff member, the neatness, the beauty, the tranquility, was all out of this world, you guys are amazing from the word start to the end that we needed to leave, well done, And yes last but definitely not the least, to the chefs with the food,the finger foods after the wedding, the main meal, pudding and wedding cake, wow amazing job,there is but not one point where anyone can criticize you it was all amazing, i am sure that all of you are not working there you are living your dream,because it is only then that things can be so perfect, when there is only love going in what you are doing. keep up the good work. If i could give more stars i would. well done and a very big thank you to All of you
Awesome experience friendly staff great room nice and clean and saw so much wildlife including zebras and an ostrich right outside my room. Food was excellent too with plenty of vegetarian options. Picked this place in a last minute rush and very glad I didRooms: 5/5
Glen Afric is a beautiful place. The staff is very friendly, the food is good and the view is amazing. You sometimes see elephants, giraffes and other animals while sitting on the balcony having breakfast. Rooms: There are different kinds of rooms, the suites are very nice. You often see animals from your balcony. In the night, you can hear the lions roar. Nearby activities: The offer some activities such as a gem drive, horse riding and the elephant walk. But they can also organise other activities such as a hot air balloon tour or a safari to Pilanesberg, both are amazing. Safety: You are not allowed to walk around on your own except between the buildings of the lodge itself because of free roaming animals. Other than that, it's perfectly safe.
I enjoyed my experience here. Animals were in pristine condition. Guides were friendly and service was good. Would have given 5 stars, but I felt the enclosures were a bit small.Location: 4/5
Attended one of the most beautiful outdoors weddings i have ever been to here, the food was delicious, the wild animals were witnesses and the staff was wonderful. Highly recommendService: 5/5
This place is highly recommended for it's tidyness, game drive, elephant experience&feeding and lions roar at dawn/night/early mornings....the food is sooo delicious and prices are reasonable!!!
We visited on a Sunday afternoon, this place is so gorgeous! It's a hidden gem. We only booked for an elephant encounter but we also got to partake in the elephant feeding which was such a pleasant surprise!!! The elephant encounter is also reasonably priced for what you get. A must visit for Elephant and nature lovers.Location: 5/5
Lovely place. Was awesome being a photographer at a wedding and to take photos with the buck, giraffes etc roaming around as a backdrop. The interaction with the elephants were just awesome. Food & drinks: The drinks are a bit pricy
