Glenwood Spar - Western Cape

Thank you to PABLO, think his the Manager not sure at Spar Glenwood Centre, for donating empty boxes to us for purposes of relocation. You are truly a huge help!...always friendly, patient and helpful.

Not the best spar I know. High price and for that matter the ATM ABSA is out of service most of the time. This shop needs better management.

Staff is friendly at till points ,but not very assisting you can walk in the store for 20mins without getting assistance ,I just went in there and wanted cashback aswell as purchasing a snack and I was told no cash back today ,now they have had signs on there till points since last Saturday I asked what that means the lady said she doesn't know found that quite odd upon exiting I asked lady at biltong counter and she told me no cash back ,I asked why not as they have to pay there staff ,mmmm ok then in this day and age ppl still being paid cash ,she then proceeded to call the manager and I asked him why, he just said instruction came from the top management, what ever that means . I was treated so badly by this security card ,I'm a women of colour so he seems to think just because of that he can treat me anyhow ,I been buying things from there thewhole Sunday past and when it was time for me to go home I got a trolley as I'm pushing the trolley here this man is busy clearing his throat I asked him is there a problem Sir do u need to see my receiptshepulls his face and ask about what he literally left the inside of the store to come walk after me,then he tells me now that I have a attitude and each question he answers with a question I took this pic and he then shouted let me turn so u can see my whole face very arrogantly, which means his done this before

Neat and clean.... friendly staff, very helpful...nice fresh meat section... have special weekly..

They rush you to finish shopping when its close to closing time and the Tops closes at 20:00 .... not at 20:30 like advertised ... also the Spar is heavily overpriced compaired to other spars

I've been going to this Spar for years already and have always been happy with their service. Although for the past week going there , I've noticed that all the Cashiers chair's have been taken away. Now, it's not my place to judge management decisions, although I find it utterly dissapointing and sad that there is so many eldery people working as cashiers. Some of them older than 65 years, that now needs to stand from the early mornings untill closing time. Within a week I could notice the morbit and tired atmosphere at this shop. It's utterly sad how our generation cannot put outselves in their shoes and understand that a simple chair can make a huge difference in the level of service being delivered.

Not the friendliest of staff. Prices are sometimes good, but not always... I usually only go if I absolutely have to.

Go here since it's the nearest SPAR. This Store needs a revamp. The most pleasant staff that I spoke to was Rebecca.
