Lagoon Beach Hotel and Spa, Cape Town

Clean and neat room with lovely views overlooking the pool area, ocean and Table Mountain. Reception and overall service very good. Simply Hair - hair salon is excellent, stock a good product range, great service - Simone will go the extra mile if and where possible. Spa - luxurious and relaxing with a variety of treatments to choose from. Menu - options are limited, can be improved. Food and drinks very expensive.

The hotel is located right in front of the beach with some rooms facing the beach, and you can hear/see the tides at night while hitting the shore. The view of Table Mountain is also in sight, especially if the weather is permitting. The hotel has an amazing staff from reception to room service. The bed was also comfortable, and I felt like I was home away from home. The restaurant also accommodated my friend's request for his food as he doesn't eat pork due to his religious belief, so they had to prepare his meal aside from pork products, but overall, the food was delicious. I would recommend the place as I will be going again soon, as Cape Town has become my favourite place since I have started to travel my country.

Great hotel with great staff. Sandile who worked in the buffet was definitely a pleasure to deal with each morning. Superstar employee right there! The food was great, ate almost every sandwich, pizza and the buffalo wings a few times and they did no disappoint. Excellent views from our corner sea view room. I’ll be back!

I went for a company arranged training session, and was pleasantly surprised at the decor, cleanliness and style of the hotel. I would never stay here because I live nearby, but it looks like a great hotel. The snacks they provided for our training were extremely tasty and were a real highlight. I would recommend it as a venue.Service: 4/5

Despite the good location and the beautiful panorama in the background, there is something that negates all positive things: On the first day, the cleaning lady stole all my cash from my notebook bag as part of the daily cleaning service. In my opinion something like this shouldn't happen in a good establishment, except that investigation are ongoing nothing has been proactively offered by the hotel until now. I'm sorry, but I have to strongly recommend everyone to avoid this hotel!!

Great location. Room does need TLCMAINTENANCE Windows are not closing. AC is struggling to heat or cool the room. Safety: Good safe place, although near Milnerton. Stay on the hotel side. Don't recommend walking street side. Great walks on the beach. Noteworthy details: Check that they have airport shuttle service. Not mentioned on the website

Pathetic Experience. The reception counter staff was very arrogant My Room AC was not working in spite of the complaint the issues were not resolved One day I ordered Plates from housekeeping. They told me you have to pay a deposit of 200 Rands For wine glasses 100 Rands I paid 200 rands as a deposit and while checking out they said it's a charge of the dish Patetic As an Indian we didn't have any options for breakfast. Only Poke Beacon breakfast For eggs also they use to serve as they are doing favour on us Guys don't cheat Indians by charging as deposit and later not refunding Shame on you guys The Receiption guys were not ready to take the complaint also about my Room issues I had a good trip of SA with a warm welcome from other hotels and staff but Lagoon Hotel Receiption staff are pathetic Guys you are the face of the hotel industry and you guys make tourist unhappy Shame on you

The location of the hotel is everything here. Awesome views across Table Bay with the Mountain rising spectacularly. The long lingering sunsets in summer are beautiful and you can view all of this from the sea facing rooms, and from the restaurant, bar and the patio area. Great for the obligatory photos. The beach is a few feet away and perfect for walks, provided the Cape south easterly wind is quiet! Every night I was lulled off to sleep to gentle sounds of the waves licking the shore. While I was there, all the staff without exception, were polite, helpful and courteous. They really were doing their best. My room was very spacious, with really good size bathroom. There are two pools, one just next to the bar and patio, and the other on the roof near the Spa. Talking of the Spa, I went for a great relaxing massage there. Good security controls at the parking. Now. The negatives. For me: the breakfast fare for a 4 star hotel is sad. The taste, variety and presentation thereof are let-downs. Some of corridors are poorly and appear dark and gloomy.

I was the photographer at a wedding and this is a stunning venue. The serving staff were attentive, but didn't intrude. The food was magnificent, and even though the music inside the banquet hall was quite loud, you could hardly hear it from outside. Stunning views and comfortably appointed rooms add to the attraction of this venue.Rooms: 4/5

I general an excellent hotel with excellent service. But the were severe issues with my reservation. That was in fact a long story during which I had to pay the roomrate twice from which one was was refunded. Maybe a misunderstanding between reception and the booking department. The room and the service apart from the described issue was outstandingly good. Also the food offered in the restaurant can be meant to be excellent. Shuttle service to the waterfront is free of charge. All in all a very good place to stay in Cape Town and region.
