Goundens Resturant

This review is for the Gounden's Restaurant in Edenvale. Went through quite late last night around 19:00, food was prepared fresh and tasted delicious. Had a mutton bunny and sugar beans with trotters bunny, was totally yum! In my humble opinion, best bunny chows and curries in Johannesburg! Keep up the excellence guys...I'll be back!

Very chill and clean even though the shop is small they made everything fit well with some chair outside for good breeze and is in northmead town hard to miss with big board out..seems to be a very busy store as well so call for your order if you at work and don’t have time to seat and dine in.. we just forgot to check the plastic bag before leaving that we had less spoons but all in all they very lovely people easy to talk to

The Lamb bunny had a lot of bones - certainly unpleasant to eat, having to manoeuvre through the bones.Food: 2/5

Awesome, I visited the Edenvale branch today for the first time. Tried out the mutton bunny, and must say it was sumptuous. Thanks to the chef, the aunty was correct, I will come back cos of her amazing cooking. To the owner, keep up this standard you are going to do well, please says thanks to the chef, I will return Parking: Easy and ample parking

Being a supporter to Goudens for a year . I was dissapointed when we had to pay R25.00 each to remove bones . The meat is so little and they still charge you R25,00 each . We were 2 patrons . When I confronted owner she was arrogant . From that day my friends and me will not support this restaurant again . Never ice for cool drinks . The food is not cheap .

A hidden GEM!! So happy I found this restaurant in Linksfield! Curry is amazing the best I’ve had in Joburg!

I always buy bunnychows which are so delish, apart from the really expensive price... today i bought chips and viennas for the 1st time for my son... 1st they gave me viennas instead of chicken nuggets.. and then they gave me they chicken nuggets which look great on the outside.. but is raw inside.. not to mention the chips.. my son didnt even want to eat it and hot chips are his absolute fave.. so disappointed

The chicken breyani was delicious with many chicken pieces. The roti was also excellent. Full of rich flavor. I really enjoyed it. The Lamb samosas were also good but on the small side. Overall the food was excellent.

I have looked forward to a Bunny Chow for so long; we tried this place but with great disappointment. The price for a Bunny Chow was very expensive but we thought if it tastes nice it is worth it. I didn't have ONE PIECE of meat in my Bunny Chow; only sauce, two small pieces of potato, bones and gooey weird things. And the salad included with the Bunny Chow was this packet of carrots - misleading saying you get a SALAD included. This was really VERY disappointing and a complete rip-off!!!!! Eating take-aways is a luxury and this was an utter waste of money!
