Love it. Most of the stores was closed when was there. Beautiful, clean, good lighting and nice decor.
I really like this shopping center. I'm able to always find just what I need. There is no fee for parking and the parking is secure. May be worthwhile to note that Edgards is no longer situated in this mall.
The Village is truly a Constantia gem that has been around for many years. In all this time, it’s found a way to retain its charm, despite changing fashions and tastes. It’s mostly restaurants now and that group is led by Cattle Barron probably but there’s also Primi Piatti and Mugg Bean which attract sizeable crowds – especially on Mother’s Day. Parking is plentiful and available and there are car guards to help with security. It remains popular with retailers as well – when the Raj closed its doors, a new business was there almost immediately.
Definitely one of my favourite shopping spaces to visit for groceries, liquor, and general household needs, although the village is spread out into three micro malls, and one can accumulate those steps should you need to go into all three venues. Parking is free, and very accessible, including two recycling stations. The Village also boasts some really great eateries, pizza, curry, bistro, coffee and more. The best part is the view of Constantia Nek as you walk out just before sunset, easily forget you were just shopping. Ciao ~SB
I've been visiting this place for literally decades now. It's a pretty convenient place that is going to cover most of your typical shopping needs amd as a bonus, it's not a gigantic mall that can make you feel like you are walking miles just to get to a shop. The parking is a little frustrating at times especially when the place is busy, but it's also free which isn't the case with many other malls, so can't complain too much. All in all, a mall worth shopping at.
This is most possibly one of the best shopping centres in the Western Cape and my absolute favourite Pick and Pay that is so well stocked. Parking despite being enormous is often difficult to find on Fridays and weekends and the centre has a good mix of related stores to save one the exhorbatant costs of parking at Cavendish.
Great shopping centre. Has everything you need and more. Only problem is parking is impossible.
A bit out of Stellenbosh, the Post Card Cafee is really a gem. Booking is required, its no longer a secret, and the breakfast is good and reasonably priced. Taking a walk around the lake provides all the views and wine tasting is done on the isleand in the centre of of the lake. There are massive Karp in various colours in the dam that are not shy and easy to see from the edge.
Great shopping experience. Parking sometimes is a bit of an issue but all-round a nice clean place with a good variety of shops
I've been having problems with Primi. Every time I have to tell them no chilli or any other strong stuff. Last week Thursday night we went there again. I ordered chicken kebab and asked the waitress if there was chilli in. She assured me there's nothing strong in it. I was on fire. When she fetched my plate I told her to check with the kitchen as there was something hot in the salad. On her return she told us yes there was chilli in. After telling them off she and the other waitress started laughing and I told them it's no joke. If I was allergic to chilli I would be sueing them. That's the end of Primi for us.
