Hound Hotel is a day play group and sleep over inn for friendly dogs. Activities include walks, river trails and games with four friendly residents.

Description

Hound Hotel is on 8 acres of doggie heaven, it offers cooked vet-approved gourmet food or pellets if you prefer, a doggie door for 24 hour easy inside/outside access, daily photo's and updates of how your pet is doing. We have a pick-up and drop-off delivery service. The 'play date' option'is great if your pup needs friends to play with during the day.

I had one of the worst experiences of my life and would suggest taking your dog somewhere else. Unfortunately, my dog died while in their care. I had no reason to think that it was anything but the natural causes they said, until they became evasive and stopped replying to me. Furthermore, I was only informed of his death via WhatsApp when I contacted them to arrange a time for drop-off. After this, they did not respond to any of my messages or emails asking for more information and and their phones went unanswered for days. I couldn’t get any answers from them and started to wonder if I was being told the full story. Simple questions like the date of death or where his body was were not answered. They were also not interested in following any wishes I had after my dogs death and everything was done without my consent, including failure to take him to a vet for a diagnosis or the cremation of his remains. When confronting them on a phone call, they became defensive, were disrespectful regarding my grief and eventually ended the call during our conversation. This was the only other time I had contact with them after the one WhatsApp message I received. Something still doesn’t feel right but I’m sure I’ll never know the real circumstances of Milo’s death. I would not want this to happen to anyone in the future and suggest that you please stay away from Hound Hotel. This could have been a positive review out of a very sad situation had the kennel handled the situation better with more timely and respectful communication, and shown more compassion towards me as the dog owner, but unfortunately their behaviour has left me suspicious of the situation.
Worst experience. I had to literally send messages and ask for feedback which we did not get. We had to bath our dogs when they got home as they were extremely dirty. Two of our dogs ears were bleeding and have sores on their legs. Our experience with The Hound Hotel, just horrible.
Very nice people. My pooch was happy in their company and we left confident knowing she was in good hands
Terrible directions on Google - you will NOT find it. They don't mention it but use their website directions, otherwise you will drive around for hours. They don't always answer their phone - only one contact number.
Amazing place, happy tails and great people. My boys didn't want to go home.
Very disappointed. Will not recommend at all.
