Description

Paws Resort is a luxury boarding Kennel & Cattery owned and managed by vets. We are situated north of Kyalami and cater to all breeds of dogs and cats - we provide 5 star accommodation for very pampered pets. We also do grooming at our on-site parlour and offer specialised veterinary kennelling, eg. diabetic pets and orthopaedic post operative care.

We would just like to thank Vivienne and the team that looked after our two fur babies. At the start of our interaction we had a bit of communication issues with Paws Resort however this was quickly resolved. They were professional and went above and beyond! Our dogs were looked after like royalty and for that we cannot thank Paws enough! Special thanks to Alec as well We definitely recommend their services!
Apologies, this might be a longer review because I feel like I can't fit everything in with just a few sentences What an amazing experience We had to leave our cat in July, since we had to immigrate to Australia. I haven't been worried about him at all during this time, as the staff send regular updates and have done such a great job at putting my mind at ease as well They help with everything - from the RNAT test, to long term stays. Thank you to every single staff member for all your hard work. Thank you to the people that keep the premises so clean and well looked after. thank you to everyone that took time out of their very busy work day to have a cuddle with our cat. And thank you to everyone that made this process such a breeze I can't recommend Paws Resort enough
Have used Paws-Resort 2019 before and received excellent service. This time we've been badly let down. Quote sent 9 January 2023, accepted, signed and returned 12 January 2023 I had to get the pages printed. The travel agent emailed as well, 31 January flagging a potential issue with the vet card. I've not heard a word, via email or WhatsApp or telephone. I've called several times, and while I understand this is an awful time because the Australian government have drastically moved the goal post, implemented new rules but have yet to have the system in place, so now companion animals are going to suffer unnecessarily. Nevertheless, something could have been done several weeks ago to fix the mess created for my newly adopted dogs travel to Australia, but now it's so late, it's inevitable I'm going to have to leave her here when I have to go back later in the year. This will cause distress which will just increase with the whole travel process and new lengthy quarantine. While the rule changes are out of your control, i would've appreciated an acknowledgement of my email, and the travel agents concerns, because that would've ensured the necessary vet work was done a month ago. I feel very let down and I feel ive let my dog down too.
Paws Resort handled the relocation of my dog from South Africa to Australia very compassionately and professionally. You can just see the whole team cares very deeply about what they do and this reflects in your interactions with the Paws Resort team. Dr Kristine Page being a veterinarian was able to answer all my technical questions which made the process so much easier. Vivian was extremely effective in getting things done and full of great advice. I don’t know how my family would have been reunited with our dog if it were not for Paws Resort. They were absolutely incredible. Thank you Kristine, Vivian, Fortunate and the whole team. You do such a special job and you make a difference in so many families lives.
I would like to convey my thanks to Fortunate, who handles the booking, checking in of pets, preliminary check of pets. The boarding process was smooth. Great job. @Vivienne; who is responsible for pet transportation did an amazing job from validating the documents, ensuring the final health check up is done in time and handling of state fees. @Joseph provided daily updates and made sure our pets are fed and well taken care of. This team did a great job. We are more than satisfied and happy with their excellent service.
We've been using Paws Resort since 2009 both as a normal kennel and a quarantine facility. Our needs were not always easy since during the period of 13 years we had geriatric dog, disabled dog in need of physio therapy and dog on chronic medication. I always had complete faith in Dr Kristine, Fortunate and the rest of the team to provide special care to our dogs. They communicated regularly, were quick to pick up problems and were nothing but kind and attentive with our labs. I honestly cannot imagine leaving my dogs anywhere else.
We recently left our puppy at Paws Resort for 3 weeks, it was our first time leaving him at the kennels so we were a bit anxious but we were traveling overseas so couldn't take him with. Whenever we would ask about him  Fortunate would keep us up to date and send pics and videos to us which kept our heart at ease. When we picked him up we were initially worried as he was ignoring us and not making eye contact, after much googling we realized it was normal post kennel behaviour and he was just sulking from being away from us for so long. After a couple of days he was back to normal and even better behaved. I appreciate how easy it was to communicate with Fortunate during our time away, I'll definitely be using them again in the future.
Excellent dog hotel at a very affordable price! My puppy is not social, so this place was ideal as she had her own place all to herself, not to mention her own wendy house with heater for the winter chill! Thank you so so much to the friendly staff for taking care of my little girl and accommodating my special requests! Will definitely be a recurring client

My three doggies have been going to Paws Resort for almost 9 years - it’s their home away from home. One has medical challenges, and they’re happy to administer his medication twice a day. My little one always gets so excited when he realises we’re going there, so I know they’re in good hands. And they don’t mind sending photos when you miss your furry babies
