Exclusive Books were closed, Seattle was closed and most of Shopping Centre. Why are there NO NOTIFICATIONS AT ENTRANCES SO CUSTOMERS DON'T HAVE TO BOTHER PAYING PARKING AND LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. BAD MANAGEMENT. Hyde Park Corner Shopping Centre is a lovely small upmarket high-end shopping centre on the corners of William Nicol and Jan Smuts Avenue. Highlights include a fantastic Exclusive Books with a Seattle Coffee Company inside and stylish restaurant. Just check hours of Seattle as you will be disappointed often being closed. Anchor tenants include PnP and Woolworths. There is a Southern Sun Hotel adjacent to the shopping center. You will find various exclusive boutique shops and is a delight for the discerning shopper. The shopping centre have frequent interesting displays like the current car and coffee display. A problem area is parking as it gets very congested when busy. There is no foodcourt, but have few restaurant options.
Beautifully designed for all to enjoy. Extremely posh stores, not for the everyday Joe ... Would definitely recommend that you have trip there yourself to experience the difference between most malls you might know around Johannesburg. Especially the rest rooms, love the flushing system
I haven't been to Hyde Park Corner in years. I was shocked to see so many of the old shop have disappeared. The shops that are there now are not that wonderful. The designer shops have very little stock and what they have is nothing to rave about and very expensive. Hyde Park Shopping Mall used to be best shopping centre in South Africa in my opinion. The only wonderful shop is the Jewellery shop Charles Gregg. The restaurants are not that great either . However the Red Door restaurant was still there but closed . I won't be returning to the shopping mall again. It was so sad to see that wonderful shopping centre deteriorate. I suppose it is due to our shocking deteriorating economy
Nice place. Nice shops. Nice Ambiance. NewMetro Cinema. But you need deep pockets :-
Very clean place with great shopping experience. Even has electric charger for cars. Impressive!
Hydepark mall was pretty quiet around 7:30am today except for the coffee section where a number of customers were having an awesome breakfast
Went to 3 post offices to try renew car licence disk - Hyde Park is useless, system offline. Benmore is useless, can't photocopy your ID nor accept card payments. Rosebank is useless, printer offline..
Beautiful mall, very safe and the security is excellent.
Expensive boutique shops trying to catch the hotel market with extra shops as an afterthought. Parking is tight and geared to trap you into staying longer, badly marked and laid out, with few payment machines so queues ensue. Restaurants offer excessively priced food with fancy names which is really average and turns out to be the same old things with a lot of stretching of the truth. Update:the Woolworths store is turning out to be a standout-staff have gone out of their way to assist.
A family place with nice restaurants and the woolworths coffee is to die for, upgraded toilets with self flushing mechanism. Adjacent to the mall is a five star hotel, with a place to chill. Visit you will never regret
