Indaba Hotel

In all my decades of travelling, I have never come across such an extremely friendly and helpful staff as at the Indaba hotel. Any task was never too much, totally blown away. Hotel situated in a 17ha property with beautiful trees. Breakfasts were amazing. Lunches at the Chiefs Boma were excellent. Conference facilities were great. Keep up the good work for such awesome staff. Only criticism is the noisy generator during loadshedding at night if you stay in Room 1xx section. Stay in another section away from the generator. Courtyard meat basket was very bland with no spices for the price, told the person serving I was not impressed.

I’ll start with the good. Ncami one of the waitrons at Epsom restaurant is the best thing to this place. Next will be Thandizwa who changed and upgraded my room upon request with charge. Good food. Arrived deliberately late after check in time; room was not ready, there was no apology expect they were short-staffed, was told to sit and wait. No offer of water or whatnot, got key at 2.57pm. Room was clean but shabby looking. Paid for late check out, went out after breakfast and came back with the hope of resting, only to find the room cleaned for next occupant and a gift bag I’d left sent to lost and found. Again no apology for the mix up, just housekeeping assumed I’d checked out. I left earlier than I wanted, - not sure I’ll come back.

We took Mom for a Sunday Jazz brunch. A fabulous spread, including oysters and bubbly. We sat under the trees in dappled sunlight, listening to the nearby fountain and the lady in the restaurant on her electric violin. Service is exceptional - attentive without being intrusive. The food was delightfully presented and very tasty. Don't miss the omelette if that's your thing for brekkie!

Everything seems in order. Personnel is friendly. The young lady, Patience, at the garden bar, was super nice and hospitable! Park-like garden and well maintained, though at a closer look a lot of litter can be found, like plastic parts, bottles, glass... Placing some extra waste bins could help, but why do people litter? Please, don't that: not here, not elsewhere. The garden attracts beautiful birds. Too many cats in the garden / hunting fields. Rooms may need some small maintenance. I felt that the indoor company that arrange tours for tourists makes use of 'guaranteeing' safety just to double the prices and make money over people's fear. The spa could use more guests / advertisement. Gym and pool available and accessible.

When you walk around this place, you could see that it used to be the great place, but now it has these areas that lack proper attendance. The Lethabo conference room we used was spacious and up to standard with the display equipment except for the sound that had challenges intermittently. The rooms were okay but was not happy regarding the faulty aircon. I reported, the handymen came, tried to fix it, but couldn't, then they disappeared up until I called again. It was then when they brought me a heater. The only part that satisfied whole-heartedly was the Chiefs Boma restaurant, the food was very fresh. There's variety of game farm meat to choose from, and is prepared while you wait. There are live performances also during certain days.

Wasted an hour for absolutely nothing. We waited almost 10 minutes for someone to come help us. Everyone we tried to call ignored us. Then we waited another hour for our food to come. Whilst we were leaving, our food finally came. Chicken goujons have these weird hairs on them and the double thick vanilla milkshakes are milk with chunks of ice in them. Definitely never coming back again. There were only two other people there and none of them ordered any food

Service is perfect. Nice place to chill. At the restaurant, it is live music. People are dancing together no matter their race. Foods are fresh meats. The conference center is very nice. . The only issue, unfortunately, is the room I had. was smelling of humidity Otherwise safe place to take even a walk at night.Rooms: 4/5

Overall poor standards, dirty pillows with no covers, bugs in the bed, had to ask for a room change. The Boma's food require attention too. Poor signage, we drove around twice not finding our block of rooms the 500s! I am really disappointed. Shower floor looks disgustingly dirty. This place requires proper maintenance. Housekeeping is a real problem.

My partner and i had a great time there, buffet dinner was Amazing!! Breakfast was SUPER amazing we had bottomless mimosa the food was too good, friendly staff, clean areaRooms: 3/5

Had the worst experience at the Restaurant. We reserved the place a week in advance only for them to tell us that they don't have the capacity for our group of friends.
