The INSTITUTE OF ESTATE AGENTS OF SOUTH AFRICA www.ieasa.org.za is a voluntary membership organisation for member estate agents. We offer training, networking and support services for our members.

The regulatory body for the real estate profession is the ESTATE AGENCY AFFAIRS BOARD www.eaab.org.za – issues with regard to registration as an estate agent and consumer queries may be relayed to them.
The IEASA Pledge
We, the Members of the Institute of Estate Agents of South Africa, pledge that we will adhere to the provisions of our Code of Ethics. We pledge to the public in general and to all levels of Government, the benefits of our knowledge, our experience and our technical expertise, in order that we may promote the free enterprise system and the right of all people, irrespective of race, colour or creed, to own and be interested in property.
We believe that home ownership deserves a preferential place in our system of values, contributing as it does to community responsibility, civic stability and family well-being.
We believe in the right of all people to own and to enjoy the benefits of property without undue encroachment or intrusion by Government, groups or individuals. We believe that every member of our society should have the opportunity of living and working in safe, sanitary and decent accommodation, and that objective can best be served in the context of a healthy property market.
To achieve the objectives outlined above, we further pledge ourselves to actively promote the Institute of Estate Agents so that it is perceived by Government, by the public at large, by responsible bodies involved in the real estate industry and by all estate agents themselves, as the body representative of all estate agents in South Africa.
To protect, enhance and further the interests of our Members and to speak out on matters which affect their interests and the property market, when and where necessary.
To inform and educate our Members by providing them with access to meaningful seminars, conventions, literature and business training methods, to assist them to beneficially and professionally adapt to the competitive, rapidly changing and increasingly demanding business environment.
To provide a continuous and ongoing platform and forum for our Members to air their views.
And to keep our Members fully informed on all pertinent legislation and in particular to help them conform to all the requirements of the Estate Agency Affairs Act.
