Can I give no stars? It's a month now since I returned the car and still no sign of a deposit being returned. I've dealt with at least 6 people in the company, they passed me back and forth with me calling and emailing every day. They're either exceptionally incompetent or trying to keep my money, all the while saying they've returned it. The dispute has now been handed over to my bank. I've hired cars in SA for over 30 years and this has never happened. I join the chorus for keeping away from this shoddy outfit. Note that all the good reviews here are years old, which tells us that the company has gone downhill. Pay a little more and avoid the long headache.
Unfortunately I had to add a start to leave this comment. I’m beyond frustrated with their service. No invoice provided since 2 months. Still waiting for the deposit as well plus wrongly charge extra gas that I had to point out several times for them to recognize their mistake. If you are considering to rent with them, I strongly suggest NOT to do it. Really really really bad experience and not only now, I have been booking every single year over the last 5 years and I got to see how bad the service got since then. Sorry guys. But you are doing a terrible job!
Rented a car for the month from CPT - service from Kenings was excellent - meet&greet for both pickup and drop-off - everything was great, lovely staff - deposit returned after a couple of weeks, which is fairly normal. NOTE: Green Motion their other name is not accepted by any UK insurance company though, so watch out if you have excess insurance - you won't be covered - but that's the fault of the UK's Green Motion obviously. Recommended!
There is some shadiness regarding the deposit. This is supposed to be processed upon returning the car. I contacted the office in Joburg today and they still have not processed it despite returning the car a week ago. I want my deposit back and would recommend other reputable rentals like Avis or Thrifty next time.
Firstly the guy wasn't at meet or greet point, after wasting half an hour found him standing elsewhere in airport, he was so slow, wasted another hour of precious time, couldn't find which car then which key. Car windscreen washer didn't work making it dangerous, lastly gave car back with 4 bars of petrol and they dishonestly wrote down 2 and deducted £40 for petrol. Would not recommend!!

I have been triple charged for fuel on the rental after they made a mistake on collection and every time I email customer support I get no response. I have been emailing them since April 2023. Can someone managing socials help me resolve this?
Still waiting on R11000 deposit which was deducted, not reserved. We were told it would be refunded in two to three days ~ now its two weeks ago, a number of calls and an empty promise that the payment will reflect at the end of last week....how unprofessional and puts a damper on one's memories of a wonderful holiday :
Terrible rental experience, firstly the pre-booked vehicle on arrival was not at the airport, had to take a ride with one of the consultants to fetch the vehicle from their main office. They also charged a deposit to the amount of R11000, which I have been struggling for over 2 weeks now to get released back to me. No response on email or phone from Kenings/GreenMotion.
Would definitely not recommend them. Takes weeks for your deposit to be returned then they still deduct your account twice for fuel and e-tolls. No proper communications and feedback is non existing. Very unprofessional. It does not allow me to comment on the feedback so I will add it here. After being in contact with head office I still did not receive my money back. I've send numerous of emails requesting contact details for the operational manager to resolve the issue but no one is replying to my emails. I can't believe that I company can "steal" your money and then act like nothing is wrong. If not for POPI act I would include the emails for everyone to see how unprofessional kennings really is.
