Quite simply the best option for renting a car to use around Cape Town, after having some of the other “big name” car rental guys give me a headache, I found Richie’s and am very pleased with how fair and faultless they are. Richie's was such an amazing guy to rent from. Felt more like renting from a buddy,which I can say he has become but, always kept it professional, whenever I needed something: brakes squealing, next day car pick with a replacement at my door, warning lights, same thing. I rented from him for about 28 months, mostly letting him know last minute to extend. Even gave me a discounted rate during winter. Honestly out of all 20 plus countries I've rented cars in, Richies rentals has been by far the best and most hassle free experience I've had. I arranged everything with him directly via WhatsApp, and when we arrived in Cape Town from Berlin we were literally driving towards table mountain within an hour of landing.. he offers an airport pickup for a small fee. Car performed flawlessly, and the rates were some of the cheapest in Cape Town. There were even some fresh sandwiches for us to eat in the car after our long trip.. Full deposit was returned to me just a day following our return to Berlin. Amazing service
After all the great stories I have heard I could not go around Richie's Rentals Car Hire and man, I am so happy I rented a car with this company. Richie goes the extra mile to make sure you can enjoy the rental period without any hassle and offers fair prices for all type of cars. Surely coming back next year!!
Would recommend Richies rentals. Called up on short notice and he was able to have a car available for me a few hours later. Really easy to communicate and contact throughout the rental process. The car was in good clean condition at an affordable rate. Will personally use again when coming to Cape Town. Had flexible drop-off / pick-up arrangements.
If you need a run around in Cape Town Richie's rentals is the go to. I received my car effortlessly at the airport. The exchange at the pick up point was a breeze. When the car was returned my deposit was transferred back without having to wait the 10 working days like most car hire companies.

Richies services were way beyond what I expected! I was recommended by a friend and I couldn't have had a better long term rental experience. He was extremely communicative and helpful and if there was anything ever wrong he'd be there the next day. I really appreciate Richie for dealing with all my hassle, it was a great experience!
