Kings Park Stadium to stadion do rugby położony w kompleksie Kings Park Sporting Precinct w południowoafrykańskim Durbanie. Obiekt, którego budowę ukończono w 1891 roku, w latach 90-ch XX wieku przeszedł gruntowną renowację. Stadion posiada 55 000 miejsc na swojej widowni i jest siedzibą dla zespołu Sharks, oraz regionalnej drużyny Natal Sharks. Przed wybudowaniem w 2009 roku stadionu Moses Mabhida Stadium, znajdującego się kilkaset metrów obok Kings Park Stadium, część spotkań na tym ostatnim rozgrywały także piłkarskie zespoły AmaZulu FC i Golden Arrows.Puchar Świata w rugby 1995Podczas Pucharu Świata w rugby odbywającego się w 1995 roku w Południowej Afryce na Kings Park Stadium odbyło się pięć spotkań (3 grupowe, ćwierćfinał i półfinał). Przed rozpoczęciem imprezy stadion gruntownie zmodernizowano i przebudowano.Puchar Narodów Afryki 1996W 1996 roku Kings Park Stadium był jednym z gospodarzy piłkarskiego Pucharu Narodów Afryki. It was very nice to watch the sharks last home game for the currie Cup. Smallest crowd but they were trying to create an enjoyable atmosphere. The second second going was for the semi finals and that was very disappointing as there was absolutely no game plan. Surroundings were enjoyable as well
The security and staff were well organised and friendly during the Sharks vs French Bordeaux rugby match. There aren't a lot of food options and it's ridiculously overpriced, but the drinks weren't too expensive. The steps to the Silver area seats we're very steep and there is no legroom at all. People climb over you to get to their seats in the same row. Spend a bit extra and get Gold area seats if you can.
Wonderful to see so many children enjoying themselves at a rugby game! No rush to get out as everyone starts to have fun after the game! Lekker warm!!
After enquiring twice from security when gate D, Entrance 3&4 will open for the Sharks vs Pumas game, we were told 15:30. After I told them it's already 15:40, they said they'll open it. Well, it's going on to 17:00 and the gate is still closed. Very poor service and security is clueless.
Always a joy watching a game at Kings Park. Word of advice, make sure you arrive 30min before the game so have have enough time to grab some food and drinks.
I have been going to the stadium every other weekend as the uMzinyathi Ministers RFC manager. I love the place. There are a lot of memories attached to the place.
Soul Sessions Sunday is now playing at the Kingston restaurant and bar. Good spot, hopefully it will stay there for a while.
The atmosphere is awesome, the staff are friendly, brilliant first time experience.
Watched the Sharks demolish their opponents at this world class stadium. The lines for food and drinks can often get a bit much,waited 25minutes just to get drinks and some fried chips. The entire experience was well worth it. Great outing for the entire family. There's stalls and entertainment after the rugby is over.
Lovely atmosphere. Had some inconveniences with the entrance and camp chairs being allowed/disallowed in certain areas but once we were in, we had ourselves a good time! Thanks
