Staff gives little information and is not very helpful. There aren't really any animals at the river, so you don't see much. For game viewing, this has been the least productive area in our 5 days in Kruger. The more Southern camps have a nicer charm and certainly more to see. Morning walk with Abel was very nice.
Rooms need better upkeep. Stove& light didn't work properly, room was dirty as well as fridge had other peoples food still in it. Apart from that they did send the maintenance guys over quickly and the outdoors are great
Great views and nice guest houses with a very functional kitchen. Good pressure in the showers. We missed a mosquito net in the entrace but regardless we would go back in a heart-beat.Rooms: 4/5
This time it was the second village of our trip to the Kruger. We love this village. It was the love at first sight a few years ago. Located on the Kruger approximately in the middle of the park. From this point it is good to start the journey to the north of Kruger Park. The north is mostly known for its flora, but not its fauna. So this is where the flora lovers come here. There are few people in the villages as a rule and the camps are not very busy, but it has its own charm. So with Olifants camp you can explore the north. And now to the Olifants camp. Lovely restaurant with great views of Olifant River. You won't find another view like this from a restaurant anywhere in Kruger Park! Excellent service, super store with everything you need for independent living. Here on the river you will see elephants on the other side of the river or hippos. But the view of the river is amazing, you will remember it for a lifetime, that's for sure! Now to my favorite houses. We lived in two houses, in 13 at a price higher and 1 at a price a little lower, both have their charm. Try to take the number 11, 12 or 13 at first, and houses with numbers 1-6 for the second.
The view is stunning, from most of the houses and from the restaurant and viewing deck, looking down on the Olifantsriver. They were busy with some renovations, but it didn't bother us. I would absolutely recommend it for a stay! They offer sunrise, sunset and night drives as well as various guided hikes along the river. We saw many elephants crossing the river.
Beautiful camp rest, pitty about the restaurant. Toasted sandwiches took 50 min to arrive and were not what we ordered. Waiter had to be asked to attend to the table every time.
Really worth a stop, either overnight or just for a coffee/meal and the view. More peaceful and intimate than some of the other bigger camps. Can highly recommend!
Kruger National Park Camp with excellent views over the Olifants River below. Decent restaurant but grab some light snacks and have a picnic at the site seeing verandah
In the summer months, when the river is high, you will struggle to find d animals so drively slowly, and good luck. In winter, most of the Mopani will die, and you'll definitely find animals. The restaurant has beautiful views, and so do the rooms. I suggest rooms 96 and 106 and 107 and 95.
Great venue, awesome view over the Olifants River. Due tot the height of the facility you have an amazing view and can easily sit with a set of binos for half a day bird and animal spotting. Food is well done and has a good presentation. Facility has good cell phone reception for Vodacom and MTN, However when there is load shedding MTN struggles. The facility has a functioning generator which works fine.
