As Lake restaurant's management we go out of our way to ensure client satisfaction.

I love this place. Food is yummy yummy!!! Due to the fact that they don't accept gays on date night does not make them a bad restaurant or their food not tasty. Gays wants us to respect them but why not turn the table around and gays start to respect those who are not gay and think about how uncomfortable it can make one to see 2 men or girls kissing each other now and the. I will eat there again and this time on date night!!

The absolute nerve of your management to think that they are above the constitutional law is ridiculous. Section 9; subsection 4 of the constitutional law states: "3 The state may not unfairly discriminate directly or indirectly against anyone on one or more grounds, including race, gender, sex, pregnancy, marital status, ethnic or social origin, colour, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, conscience, belief, culture, language and birth. 4 No person may unfairly discriminate directly or indirectly against anyone on one or more grounds in terms of subsection 3. National legislation must be enacted to prevent or prohibit unfair discrimination." The nerve that you have to say that it is not Discrimination by not allowing Same sex couples to dine on at your restaurant on "Date night" is laughable. You reserve that night for only Heterosexuals. This is blatant discrimination against homosexuals by reserving special privileges on grounds of sexual orientation. How do you not get this? You are a disgrace to our country and hope you know that your restaurant can and will be shut down.

So they have a date night but apparently if you're the same sex you cannot visit this place on that night. Why is that? How would one feel if they said no "white" people on this night or "black" people on that night. Either way you spin it, it's discrimination and unconstitutional behaviour. The owners seem to be thrilled with the attention it's getting, where they should be ashamed of themselves, I can assure you the rest of the general public are ashamed of you as a race. Go back to the 1940's you discriminatory folks.

If you are part of the LGBT community, don't even think about coming here. They don't say it outright, but whatever they are that they define as "Same-sex couples" make them uncomfortable and you will be turned away likely at the last minute from their events and have an uphill battle to get your money refunded.

22 years after we became a democracy, I find it absolutely abhorrent that an establishment still feels it has the ability to discriminate in this way. As a measure of fairness I actually called just before writing this review, asking If me and my boyfriend of 4 years may attend dinner tonight. The answer I received is obvious considering my score. The lady on the phone reacted immediately with hostility after I explained why I called. as a result my score is absolutely fair considering the service I received.

Dining is all about the experience. Well... What can I say? I wasn't allowed to experience the experience and thus a 1-star rating applies. Well, technically, 1-star is being generous? Since technically I am not even allowed to make a reservation for my partner and I on our weekly Date Night.

Beware! Homophobic institution. Shocked that you would defend the indefensible. There is no room in our society for people and businesses with your unconstitutional mindset of hatred. Stop your homophobic behaviour. Will you next start introducing single "race" nights for racists?

Not friendly to any LGBT person. They go so far as to block you on Facebook. They still have not apologized for the blatant discrimination and hate speech on Facebook page. Disappointing to still have this type of mentality in South Africa.

Ok unless your a same sex couple...... apparently that's not allowed..... Disgusted that in this day and age humans can act this way toward each other..... be ashamed of your selves. Hang your TM heads in shame and good luck staying in business.... Love wins. ALWAYS....!
