We only use a concentrated washing powder with colour safe bleach for every cycle. No cheap products from the shop on the corner!
With our "Wondersoap" we remove spots and stubborn stains and grease.
Especially for white items we count on our "ShinyWhite"bleach - It removes blood, red wine, condiments and caffeine beverages. Yellowing, suntan and cosmetic stains have no chance. And the best is: we don´t use harmful toxic chemicals.

We dropped our laundry off at Laundry on Long in the morning and picked it up later that evening. Everything was washed and bagged nicely. When we got back to our hotel, we were missing 2 mens t-shirts, 2 women's t-shirts and a pair of women's tights. They were all very high quality goods, worth well over $250 all together. We went back that same evening to ask about the missing items, but got a bit of a 'not my problem, it was the girl from this morning' response. Left our name and number in case they turned up the next 5-6 days we were in town. Proceeded to go back two-three more times to see if any of the same ladies were working or had found our items. No one seemed to care in the least. Completely unprofessional. Maybe it was an honest mistake, maybe our items were stolen, that we don't know. What I do know, is that it's not worth losing 10% of what I drop off. I wouldn't recommend Laundry on Long, clearly they don't keep track of the items washed ... or they take what they like from customers. 0 stars, if I could.
Initially i hesitated as there were a couple reviews that said they lost items. Glad i went they cleaned a pair of jeans i had with stains came out beautiful and wrinkle free. Convenient easy drop off and pickup process. If i am ever in Capetown again I would go here for sure.
The staff was nice and helpful but we had a very unpleasant surprise when we got our clothes back. Most of them had shrinked, some were completely lost. People who work with laundry were supposed to know how to dry different fabrics in order to avoid that - even if it meant telling us we wouldn't be able to pick them up in the same day. I wanted to review the place well, but losing clothes is definitely bad.
Very pleased with the quality of job done and an excellent price. In a matter of hours, I got boxers, socks and pyjamas done along with 9 shirts, for less than 200 Rand including ironing the shirts. To get the same stuff done in my hotel would have been about 1000 Rand, and would have taken longer.
I came here because of the many other positive reviews. I am very sensitive to the smell of laundry fresheners and soaps, so much so that I specifically brought unscented liquid laundry soap with me on my trip. Nothing weird, just plain unscented liquid "Tide Free & Gentle" with clear instructions in English on the bottle and a cap for measuring the amount to use. When I dropped off my laundry, I emphasized that I don't want any smells or fragrances, and I left a 30% tip up front. Indeed nothing smelly was added, but for some reason LOL found it necessary to use at least three times as much soap as needed -- the bottle had enough for several loads, but came back almost empty -- and then failed to rinse it out. My clothes are stiff and sticky with dried soap. I don't have time to rinse and dry them before the next leg of my trip. At least the soap is unscented, and it is physically harmless, but it feels hot and sticky and unpleasant on my skin and I'm reminded of this every few minutes. I'm also not impressed that I asked for the collared shirts to be folded and one came back folded but the rest were on hangers. Maybe I didn't express myself clearly enough? The ironing of the shirts was faultless, but it's wasted because everything has to be rinsed properly and ironed again... at some point... which I don't have time or facilities to do. I am very disappointed. The shirts really are beautifully ironed.
THE BEST PLACE TO HAVE YOUR LAUNDRY DONE IN CAPE TOWN!! Prompt, reliable and efficient, they have friendly professional staff and I especially love the pick up and delivery service as I don't have the time to drop my laundry off. My clothes are always ultra-clean and smell amazing when I get them back. Can definitely recommend LoL.
Hands down, best laundry I have ever been to. Staff is super friendly. You enter, they greet you, they weigh your laundry, ask if there is anything to do with the clothes, give you the receipt while you pay, and then ask you to pickup you can ask for a drop off for a small fee enjoyed the experince. Come here. Do not listen to suggestions by hostels.
I got there at 9am, gave my clothes in to dry clean. Come back after 12:00 noon they said. I got there at 2pm. Closed. I call them. Eventually someone picks up. "Oh, yeah, there was a taxi strike today, staff went home early" "Yeah, but why didn't anyone say that to me when I took my clothes in?" [woman hangs up on me] Go in the following day. Closed. No sign, no explanation, just closed. Finally collected today. Company was indifferent to the inconvenience caused, completely unapologetic, and if I'd had a flight out, would have lost those clothes entirely. They are simply a money-taking machine, with no desire to deliver any service whatsoever.
Great Service! Brought my laundry in the morning and it was done and delivered in the evening. It was clean, smelling nice and perfectly folded. Excellent service! 5 Stars!!!
