Lavandou Wedding and Events Venue

We had our wedding at Lavandou on 11/03/2022, all I can say is WOW! Thank you Sanja, Johan, Antoinette and Marcelle for making our dream wedding a reality. The decor and flowers looked exquisite, the food was amazing, our guests could not stop telling us how amazing everything was. Thank you so much to everyone at Lavandou for everything you did for us. You are the absolute best!

Visited the Flower & Decor Expo and I have to say, the possibilities are absolutely endless and soooo gorgeous! The staff are friendly and very helpful. A very beautiful venue with lots of photo opportunities!

Very friendly and professional staff. The venue is perfect for weddings and kept in immaculate condition. There are so many spots to take photos and the food and accommodation was top class. Thanks for a great event... Keep it up!

Beautiful and peaceful venue that has weddings at the centre of what it does. Rooms are well stocked with hot drinks, pillows and towels and nice other little extras. No televisions which is refreshing. Huge shower. Breakfast is served early and on a tray with mixed items like a boiled eggs, cold meats, cheeses, jams and breads.

Absolute beautiful venue. Staff is so friendly and helpfull. The day was stress free and the staff guided and provided assistance with everything throughout the day. It was magical and perfect. They go out of their way to make you feel special. Would definately recommend this venue to everyone.

The venue does have a card machine that supposedly doesn’t work. When you ask the staff at the bar to switch it on, they respond by saying “we just work here”. That is so petty and totally bad coming from a venue that hosts weddings. Then, when the party goes on and you enjoy your own bottle brought from home, the owner forces the bridal party into paying for the bottle or else the deposit will be witheld. This is what the owner gives back to someone who used their venue and spent thousands of Rands for it; this is a shame.

Absolutely FANTASTIC wedding venue! We got married there the 12/12/2019 and the service we received from everyone was just out of this world. Sanja, Antoinette, Johan, Marcelle and the coordinator was just amazing and we had nothing to worry about and they made us feel so comfortable and just made the day more special and memorable at every turn. The food, flowers and service is definitely out of this world! All our family and friends have only complimented them and their service. Will definitely recommend them!

Beautiful forest like gardens, waterfall and bridge, spacious wedding venue as well as a cozy bridal suite. Catering is very good and they do a special service. Superb Forest look for Wedding photos, i have seen some of the photos that was taken of my daughter and her newly wed husband. Very clear and bright!

We attended a friend’s wedding at Lavandou and it was a magical day. The bridal suite is beautiful and spacious. The forest setting is whimsical followed by w beautifully decorated Reception Hall. The Large Reception Hall hosts a great sized dance floor with amazing draping and fairy lighting. The food was delicious with a wide variety and generous portions. The accommodation is where it was a bit of a let dow . There is no indoor walkway between the venue and the rooms, which during summer would be alright however during winter it’s an icy walk back to the rooms where half of the lights in the hallway weren’t on/working. Sadly you can’t even warm up in the room as the rooms are exceptionally cold with no means to heat them. This is made worse by the the fact that it’s primarily concrete with little soft furnishings such as rugs. Although extra blankets are placed in the rooms this is not a sufficient means of heating. Several guests did not have any warm water to shower the next morning, so after a freezing night this was not meat with joy. All in all the setting is lovely, there is great photo opportunities and the guests are sure to enjoy an evening of festivities however the accommodation needs to be improved.

What a beautiful venue. Magical, whimsical, peaceful. Far enough out of JHB for a nice drive. Would be helpful if bar can have card services, then would be 5 stars.
