Lombardini Gamefarm and Lodge

I went on a Rhino experience with Justin and was totally enthralled with the experience. I enjoyed every minute of the journey, meeting Amanda, Brittany and Tiffany, watching their interaction with Justin was one of the highlights of my South African vacation. I was fortunate to see other animals as well including a mom and baby giraffe. Justin kindness and love of animals and all thing Rhino is so genuine that you can’t help but fall in love with them too! Thank you Justin for making this such an awesome experience!

Sadly our booking for the hotel was not honoured. We booked our stay 6 months in advance with a compulsory 50% deposit at the time. We should have known something was up when we got no reply on their WhatsApp business account even though delivered but decided to be hopeful nonetheless. When we arrived at 15:30 the property was locked and after calling both the main line and the mobile phone several times we were not able to reach anybody. We tried the bell at the gate, shouted and used the car horn to get attention but sadly we failed. We went back into town to find a new accommodation for the night. The property looked lovely through the metal gate - shame they can’t honour the bookings they take! Maybe they forgot about us or maybe they had an emergency - either way not quite the service you’d expect from a property charging in excess of ZAR 2,700 a night!

My wife and I were married at Lombardini, what a joy! You can immediately see that Aretha and the staff have done thousands of weddings! Their professional service, experience and punctuality ensured our wedding was the best night of our lives! Book Lombardini as your wedding venue!

This the venue of my brother renewing vows...We loved it we made a booking to sleepover 24 people but the thing of having to buy drinks from them made us cancel the booking. We made another booking at Mentors Kraal with no hassles...Service: 3/5

My bridesmaids surprised me with the most AMAZING weekend at Lombardini. The service was exceptional and so was the food! The staff were attentive and checked on us throughout our entire stay. The rhino interaction and game drive was such a treat. We also had a five star picnic in the bushveld with the most delicious and mouth watering treats! The weather was lovely and allowed us the opportunity to use the pool which was clean and provided lots of fun and interaction with other guests. I can honestly say that everything was perfect. The Lombardini staff really went the extra mile to make this an unforgettable experience.

I booked a couple's package and my word THE BEST so disappointed I didn't know about this place sooner. The staff are so helpful, accommodating and so kind from the moment I made the call to book until the moment we left this is by far the best experience my husband and I had. Fires were lit wherever we had a seat, drinks were offered all the time. Regular updates on our schedule . Everyone is just so helpful and accommodating. The place is stunning. Food is great. The most tender lamb shanks, and desert fluffy, oh gosh. I'm so impressed I could give a 10 * rating of possible.

We held our wedding at Lombardini on 13 November 2021 and the way they went out of their way to help and accommodate us was absolutely fantastic. The staff are beyond helpful and they really do everything with so much of love. The food was incredible and taking wedding photos up close with the rhinos is a experience we will never forget. By far the best venue we could have chosen to have our wedding.

I live in the US with my husband, and we finally had our wedding in South Africa after four years of marriage. This was long awaited for both sides of the family, so we decided to make a vacation out of it, with both sides of our immediate family. Lombardini is on my top 3 list of the best places I've stayed in South Africa. Not only did they accommodate both sides of our family for the couple of days before the wedding but they accommodated our guests too and closed off the entire Game Farm/Venue for our wedding. IT WAS MAGICAL! My family enjoyed a beautiful game drive where we saw all kinds of wildlife, a fishing trip where we saw giraffes too. We had a rhino encounter that is top 2 of my favorite nature experiences ever! I can't compliment the staff at Lombardini enough, my family and I felt at home and we can't wait to be back again. Thank you to everyone for making the the tail end of our vacation and the wedding day a dream come true!

We had the opportunity to stay at Lombardini Game Farm for the weekend and what an amazing weekend it was! Everything was exceptional. The staff checked on us throughout our entire stay and were always ready to serve us with a smile. The Rhino encounter and five star picnic in the bushveld was probably the highlight of the weekend not to mention the food that was prepared for us. The whole experience was just PERFECT!

The staff was great and every bit of effort is much appreciated. The venue was picture perfect and the garden and pool area with the tropical feel is stunning. A game farm within 10 minutes from the beach is a true gem and rare. Food, ambience and decor lots of chandeliers,mirrors and fairy lightsgets a 5 star from me.Rooms: 5/5
