Majuli River Lodge overlooking Kruger Park in South Africa

The view & the deck is stunning, but beyond that it was very disappointing. The house & rooms are teeny tiny especially upstairs. The photos are quite deceptive in that regard. The wooden floors make it extremely noisy. You can hear every conversation & sound in the whole house. The bedding & linen are of poor quality. To make things worse, we were only told upon arrival that there is a building site next door with a generator running ALL DAY. Not a 4 star lodge/hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It was not what we were expecting for our family break away. I would not recommend this place.

We did not hate the place it has a gorgeous lookout from the deck but the house itself is: 1 Poorly furnished and curtains barely exists. 2 Very dirty 3 no cupboards or mirrors 4 Bedding and linnen very poor 5 The wooden floors so noisy it is impossible to sleep. 6 Photos on advertising sites are deceptive.

The view from the balcony makes this place a real gem!! Sit down, relax and enjoy! Didn’t spend much time inside the house because the balcony is the best reason to go here. Marloth park is a really nice place and a great place to recharge your batteries!! Would love to go back! I recommend!

A Great place to stay. Even when a few things went wrong the management made sure our stay was as hassle free as possible. There was load shedding that caused some damage to the network the management offer us alternative facilities to have coffee and a warm shower as it was our last morning before heading back luckily the power was restored and wasn't needed but they could just have said sorry but they didn't. That is customer service at it best. Thank you for a lovely stay at your facility.

Great view over the river next to kruger, lots of animals around the house. In 1 month we had some visits off: giraffes, baboons, banded mongoose, lizards, zebras, warthogs and lots of sunbirds, kingfishers etc. We had an anazing view from the panorama terrace of some elephants, hippo's, fish eagles near the river. Great place to visit and close to crocodile bridge to enter kruger park
