My wife and I recently spent four nights at the Rhino Post and had a truly wonderful experience. We loved the small intimate setting of the lodge, since it only has about 8 rooms total. It is also an ecolodge and does a great job building the lodges into the existing landscape and provides opportunity for game viewing right from the comfort of your room. The staff was also exceptional. Our feedback would not be complete with out many compliments and thanks to James, our guide, for seven spectacular game drives. James was a joy to be around and has a good sense of humor. He is passionate about what he does and is just as excited to spot animals as we were. It was nice to know he loves sharing the beauty of the Kruger with people from all around the world. While nothing is guaranteed in the bush, James was able to find the big 5 and dozens of other animals per day. My wife had a list of over fifty different animals from just one day that James took the time to point out to us. Cheers James! We look forward to seeing you in the future.
If you are looking for a safari experience in the nature with a hint of luxury, Rhino post safari is the place to go. The walking safari is really for amateurs and camping lovers or else it might feel a little intense especially the sleep out part. But if you enjoy nature, open skies, long walks ... you will be served. One thing for sure at either or the staff really looks out and after you. A special thank you to James !
This was a really neat experience. Having come from a different safari lodge in the park, Rhino Post was a great way to end our adventure in Krueger. The outdoor shower was an added bonus. I was truly impressed with the staff and ranger. The rangers drive on the roads don’t really take you off-roading but there’s plenty to see! The chef went above and beyond to accommodate my celiacs by providing me my very own platter for high tea and special gluten free menu for breakfast and dinner. Everyone was incredibly friendly and as a surprise for our honeymoon, they had set up a special private table for dinner above the outdoor fire pit. Highly recommend this place, however be warned that if it’s really hot, there is no air conditioning in the rooms. It cools off in the evening though.
Spent 3 September nights there, and cannot stop thinking about what a wonderful experience we had! From the welcome toast, to the afternoon teas with amazing "snacks", to the fireside drinks, to the scrumptious dinners, to the 5am muffin wake-ups, to the awesome game drives with the best sundowners...I can't find enough adjectives to describe how magnificent our trip was! Our host Sindy, the entire staff...especially Chef extraordinaire Theresa and Vusi, our absolutely delightful, informative, and fun-loving guide...we were treated like family, and made memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We will never forget you, and hope to return one day soon!
The best safari lodge I have ever been to. Food was amazing, excellent service, beautiful units with great views. On the Game Drive, our guide, Vusi, managed to find us the big five in just one night's stay! His knowledge of the area and wildlife was outstanding. All in all a fantastic experience.Rooms: 5/5
Really great service here. A lovely experience with a team that made us feel special and went above and beyond to tailor the experience to our needs. The food was a particular and unexpected highlight. Chef Theresa was dubbed "Mother Theresa" by us!Rooms: 5/5
Amazing drives! Amazing food! Amazing guides! Rooms need updating, including new screens, netting and AC for 4-hour, afternoon siestas. It would be lovely if afternoon excursions to local shops were offered, or local hikes or a gym would be fabulous! Without these changes, 3 nights, 4 days is enough.
Difficult to have only one word defining our stay at rhino post and walking Safari. It was so hard for us to leave theses incredible places. Thank you to Vusi, Sindy, Crystal, chef William, Theresa, Daryl, Trinity, Amos... From the warm welcome to the high quality of food to the walking and driving. Highly recommended places for nature, animal and humans lovers.
Rhino Post is very nice. Wild hyenas in camp, elephants meandering near your room, and giraffes munching leaves outside your shower--Rhino Post is magical. Oh! and the food! The food and staff are fantastic. Truly spectacular and remarkable in service. Definitely worth a visit and stayRooms: 5/5
What a treat! The food and facilities at Rhino Post was exactly what we needed after roughing it in the Sanparks camps. Hats off to the chefs and kitchen crew! The dining was an unexpected highlight of our stay. Our guide, James, spoke with energy and loud enough for all to hear, very considerate of his guests. Thank you to all the Rhino Post staff! Take note, this location did not offer walking safaris in Nov 2022.
