Please do not use the R511 to access this place because of the low lying bridge that floods easily, this is also mentioned on the spa’s website. However prepare yourself for about 8km of gravel road on the last bit of road to the spa. It’s not the worst gravel road but it’s still gravel. The highlight of our outing was receiving relaxing and exceptional treatments with the sounds of the river flowing in the background. The staff was great, everyone is so attentive and the manager is so sweet. I really appreciate the outdoor heaters they put up at the treatment areas so that we can enjoy our treatments without having to worry about the chilly weather. There is a shop where you can buy the Mangwanani products, some of which are used during the treatments. We had muesli with yogurt and fresh fruit, a bran muffin and a savoury scone for breakfast. The yogurt was delicious and fruit was really fresh, the savoury scone was really good however the bran muffin was the sweetest bran muffin I’ve had in my life and we couldn’t even finish it. Our lunch of chicken wraps was and it tasted okay - the chicken was creamy but the wrap itself was lacklustre. Our dessert options were cheesecake, chocolate cake, cookies, marshmallows and some savoury snacks. The cakes were digestible at best, wouldn’t recommend them. The drinks were unlimited, per the offer we booked. They also have a vegetarian option for food.

The atmosphere is amazing. So relaxing and calming. All the staff are so warm and welcoming. Particularly the manager. She was always smiling and readily available to help in any way . The only thing is the road coming from jhb brings you on a dirt road and there's a bridge that is sometimes filled with water and you cannot pass through which you have to take a longer route to arrive. So just be careful about that. Or alternatively make sure to take the free shuttle service from Monte casino.

Best value for money if you want to do a Full day Spa. Lovely venue and facilities and the staff is absolutely amazing, so friendly and welcoming! Great experience!

Absolutely amazing. Facilities are clean and modern. Staff is so friendly and caring. Food is amazing. Felt like a queen. Treatments are so calming. Will definitely recommend. We will go there again!!

What an incredible Spa. If I could give a rating of 10/10 I would do so. I do love that today had fewer people as it makes a huge difference to not have the big noisy groups. The therapists were extremely good & super professional. The food is great & definitely the perfect portion size. I would definitely recommend a full day spa package. Super relaxing & rejuvenating.

The spa is at corner Hartebees dam. Took my mum for her birthday. The staff was amazing and very professional. Food was divine. The best spa around Gauteng. Everything is just perfect. Will definitely go back again soon

From the shuttle at Montecasino until the last treatment, staff are welcoming, professional and extremely awesome. Always well worth the trip there.

I had a very beautiful time. All treatments are highly recommended to leave you in a deep relaxed state. The venue is very beautiful enclosed by nature with widlife passing by occasionally.

Great experience, I suggest doing the couples full day either Saturday or Sunday. Really great staff and the buisness supports over 80 staff... this concept is a great job creation tool and I'm glad to support them.
