I have not been to Dreamland since I was a kid, so a few years now!  I never imagined this place to be a venue for music concerts.  Dreamland has a capacity of 5000. Whilst this isn't a lot, it's certainly enough for a big crowd. Whilst gates open at 5pm, main act Rag n Bone Man came on at 9pm. There was one support act and a DJ in-between. Don't come with fluids or sun cream, as security will take it from you; although you can have this returned at the end.  Facilities are pretty good, toilets spread out and a wide range of eateries. Prices for food and drink were fair. Ride prices are high -  especially at £4 p/p.  A very pleasant experience overall. Suitable for disabled.

Such a great venue. Saw Placebo here this evening 9 June 2023, which was a fabulous gig. Fantastic band. The venue feels a bit like a festival site, but is in central Margate for those not in the know. Drinks are good value and not over priced.  As Arnold once said, "I'll be back!". In fact, in just over a month for The Human League!.

Went to a gig here to see Queens of the Stone Age. Venue was a nice size without being too overcrowded. Waits at the bar were not very long too. Overall pretty good venue as long as it's not raining. Great venue for a music event. 'Rag n Bone man' was awesome. There was easy access for all. Plenty of room for wheelchair users. Lots of choice for food and drinks. Park shuts at 5. But what this really means is half the park shuts at 3:30, leaving only the chairoplanes and the whirlaround twister open.. There really is no reason to close the waltzer, rollercoaster not the scenic railway and most of the rest of the park early. Drop tower still isn't in operation.  Tokens went up by 50% from last year from £2 - £3, and those prices rise to £4 if there's an evening concert on..  The night concert was a weird one.  The queue used to be at the front gate, but with no instructions from AXS who make money from the bookings, and no signage at the venue, the queue for the night concert was in the car park round the side of the venue. Very odd.  Yoda and the Cuban Brothers, and any other live gigs are the only reason this park survives now. People fought for years to keep the place open, and then reopen it after all the troubles, but the owners are still trying to kill it, but the night venue keeps it alive

Great day out. Ride prices are reasonable food and drink is over priced and nothing special. Staff all friendly and make the place. Lots of new refurbished areas. Really enjoyed it and would return with a picnic

A heritage amusement park, where the main attractions are a big Ferris wheel  with great views across Margate and a fun wooden rollercoaster . The rest of the rides are traveling fair rides, set out for permanent use. The Waltzer was extremely fast and just about fun, my son loved it but I staggered off feeling my age. Lots of other basic amusements, bars and food outlets. We enjoyed a couple of hours in the park.  It's free to get in, and lots of fun. The history of the place is fantastic, they have left some bits unrestored, other parts need lots of attention and a few features are scaffold towers with decoration. We purchased 20 ride tokens for £40 and did everything we wanted to. It would be very easy to blow a fortune on tokens if you take kids to spend the day and eat there as well.

Dreamland was great. We were there to ride the Scenic Railway, which is a beautiful old school wooden coaster and is lots of fun to ride. There are plenty of other things to do. The Dodgems were fantastic. But it was the details that really impressed. Prices were reasonable, the place was clean and tidy and well maintained, the food and drink options were decent and all the staff we spoke to were friendly and polite.

Went to see Rag and Bone man. Great to experience this fantastic music artist at this local venue. Weather was great so made a huge difference too I think. Will be booking again for the summer season.Visited onWeekendWait time10–30 minReservation recommendedYes
