I recently visited Mediclinic Nelspruit Hospital to visit my mother who was admitted for surgery. I was very impressed with the hospital's facilities, staff, and overall patient care. The hospital is very clean and well-maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms are modern and clean. The hospital also has a number of amenities, such as a restaurant, and a coffee shop. The staff at Mediclinic Nelspruit Hospital were all very friendly and helpful. They were always willing to answer my questions and make sure that my mom was comfortable. The nurses were particularly attentive, and they made sure that my mom was getting the best possible care. I was also impressed with the level of patient care at Mediclinic Nelspruit Hospital. My mom's surgery went smoothly, and she was able to make a full recovery. The doctors and nurses were very knowledgeable and experienced, and they took the time to explain everything to my mom and her family. Overall, I had a very positive experience at Mediclinic Nelspruit Hospital. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone who is looking for excellent medical care in a comfortable and supportive environment.
I am absolutely appalled by the continuous poor service at the Nelspruit Mediclinic. I’ve had two family members admitted and scheduled for “Minor operations “ at the hospital only to be kept waiting for hours before they were attended to. When my father was admitted, he was kept waiting while in excruciating pain and told “The doctor is busy” when we demanded updates from staff. My sister was scheduled for a surgery today and she was kept waiting from 8am to 7pm and the reasons given were “There are too many of you”- answers which are absolutely Unacceptable when we are paying patients. The hospital continues to under perform and disservice the Nelspruit and surrounding community and management must intervene as it slowly deteriorates. Reading some of the reviews on here it seems poor service/incompetence are recurring experiences by patients and perhaps the community will be better serviced by other Private hospital groups Life Healthcare and Net Care. We definitely need an alternative to this dying ship!
My wife was treated so poorly at the nelspruit mediclinic arrived from over 100km away in an ambulance with possible severe head and neck and back trauma. Triaged as orange upon arrival, waited for hours for help because of lack of personnel and beds available. Tried to discharge her that night because of no space in hospital. Admitted the next day after waiting alone in a room for hours without medication, food or water. ABSOLUTE INHUMANE TREATMENT Let alone malpractice.
I am utterly disappointed about the service we receiving at this hospital’s paediatric ward. Nurses in this ward do not fully understand patient care and timely response. They are slow with everything, they are unbothered and they expect you to understand. My son’s drip machine kept making a sound with a red light, they did not come. Only to find that the drip was not working. When the nurse came it was like we are being dramatic nje. They are never responsive to the “nurse call button” took them 9 minutes to attend to my call. Some of the nurses even look annoyed when you call them especially at night. You find the nurses station unattended, not sure if they are allowed to sleep but by the look of things they do sleep. They take their time with everything and they think you are too much if you call for their attention. A lot can happen in 9 minutes and they really need to work on patient care especially because they are working in a children’s ward and also they need to understand the stress that comes from having a sick child. Yes, I understand that they have other patients but for the money we pay, we can’t receive poor and slow service like in government hospitals. We come to private hospital so that we can get better and promptly service so they need to improve!
My family can’t thank the Doctors and Nursers and the rest of the team, who assisted my father and my family through a very trying time, but for also making the near impossible come true, by getting our father back safely to Australia. Thank you to the ICU ward for all your excellent care with our father. We can’t thank you all enough! Even the nurses here in Australia have said how well the bypass cut has healed and that the line is so minimal. Eternally grateful
I will never recommend this hospital. The nurses are short staffed and calling you a liar and they tell you to your Face that they were on the phone. In the phone? So they ignore you. Ward P on 16 feb 2023 igmore you if you ask for a remote for the aircon. No communications skills or feedback and aggressive when pointed out of this lack of communication. I am most definitely getting names fown but they are somewhere else
Utterly disgusting. We have been waiting for several hours at causality to to get help / admitted. This is not the first set back from medi clinic. I would not recommend the hospital.

And for a successful procedure. Was pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of all the staff that we met. Keep up the good work!
To the maternity ward and team , Thank you for all the curtesy in making sure that we receive the necessary care as new moms ,I have felt like home after delivering our very own son. Thank you to the Nurses and Dr who assisted us in bringing our little light to the world! The level of professionalism was highly noticed! I will recommend Mediclinic maternity unit to each and every mom looking for a warm and comfortable place to receive their blessings!
Was in hospital with my 3 month old for 3 days and I just want to thank the amazing nurses in the pediatric ward J. Absolutely amazing nurses definitely working with love. The reception staff are also extremely friendly and welcoming. Thank you
