Extremely disappointed in your rude receptionist, please teach her some manners when speaking on the phone. I phoned her initially to query if it was fine to bring a one year old as I have never been to your practice and I dont know the nature of the practice in terms of if you treating a paediatric patient. I then phoned to ask the times available, after discussing with my husband we had agreed on the 8.30 appointment, I phoned to confirm the appointment, she said that the 8.30 appointment is not available, she only has 2.15 available, I told her to temporary book the appointment, I need to discuss with my husband if it is suitable, I phoned back to ask for an early appointment for another day instead, she started screaming at me on the phone saying " oh please, not again, we are extremely busy!" Very harsh and rude.
Dr Ian, definitely one of the most impressive Ophthalmologist I have come across. Not only caring, but also curing my eyes viral infection. I definitely highly recommend Dr Ian.
Dr Kozlowski is professional and knowledgeable in his field. This much is clearlc apparent. A fairly reserved doctor. The onus is on the client to ask questions which he answers gladly and well. He has a fairly large clientele base further suggesting he is good at what he does. Happy the service received
Dr Kozlowski is highly recommended. My whole family have seen him from detached retinas, cataracts, laser surgery and glaucoma. He may be reserved but is extremely kind and helpful.
I am SO happy with the fantastic consultation from Dr Kozlowski, he is brilliant and the Receptionist Angie was phenomonal and so caring, thank you Dr Kozlowski.
I had an appointment yesterday 01/02/2021. Last week when I phoned to book the appointment I asked the reception that I have 2 pterygium that needs to be removed can this Dr remove them when I come in... Yes she said and even said that I will be booked off 5days so I arranged with my work for the sick leave. Showed up early for my appointment, Dr was late and saw a patient before me, he does the check up with an open door where I can hear and see how he talks to this patient very rude when it was my turn also open door he just puts eye drops in before even saying what he is putting in, I tell him I want my pterygium removed as it bothering me, he keeps on saying its not that bad. I don't care I want it removed he then reads from a book what I have I know what I have as my GP and optometrist gave me more information then you did in 10mins. refers me to another eye surgeon to have it removed, as this is done IN HOSPITAL!! no one told me this before otherwise I would've seen a surgeon at the hospital before WASTING my medical aid money here. RESPONDING TO DR'S REPLY: This lady was misinformed .I AM IN THE BUSINESS OF BEING INFORMED AND PRECISE. LIKE I SAID I PHONED YOUR RECEPTION AND ASKED HER QUESTIONS SINCE SHE IS WORKING THERE 14 YEARS TOLD US HER WHOLE LIFE STORY THAT SHE WILL KNOW BETTER CLEARLY NOT!! Pterygiums are NOT removed in the rooms !SHE SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THAT WHEN I PHONED TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT ! Pterygiums require hospital admission . The fact that the lady came early Before her appointment is not my concern YES I CAME EARLY AS ANY PATIENT WOULD YOU WERE LATE. In order to do a proper examination including a intraocular pressure examination anaesthetic drops have to be instilled ON NON OF YOUR FORMS DO YOU ASK FOR ALLERGIES AND YOU TELL THE PATIENT BEFORE INSTILL THE STUFF WHAT IT IS AND WHAT IT DO YOU DON'T JUST DO IT.The patient was informed ,that in my opinion surgery at this time NO YOU WERE TRYING TO PUT ME OFF SURGERY THINKING I ONLY DO IT BECAUSE OF HOW IT LOOKS NOT ONCE DID YOU ASK ME WHY I WANT REMOVED. , especially during the Covid epidemic was NOT indicated ,especially as it had to be done IN a hospital with All the risks involved . The pterygium in her Left eye was Very small ,YES SMALL TO YOU BUT IT IS AN BUMP CAUSED ME TROUBLE FOR THE PAST YEAR THAT I ALMOST CRASHED MY CAR ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE IT GOT SO IRRITATED THAT I COULD NOT SEE AT ALL BUT NOT ONCE DID YOU ASK ME WHY? and the one in her Right eye did not exist ITS FLAT NOT A BUMP YET BUT IS MOVING TO MY IRIS. .Illustrations / photographs of real pterygiums were shown .YOU READ OUT OF THE BOOK WHAT I KNOWN ALREADY IM NOT A CHILD LIKE YOU TREATED ME LIKE ONE If the patient wanted her "pterygiums "removed it would Not be by me and Not in the rooms !! AGAIN THEN YOUR RECEPTIONIST AFTER 14 YEARS NEEDS PROPER TRAINING.A lot of unnecessary surgery is performed at the Medical Aids expense and at the Wrong Time ! ITS MY CHOICE NOT YOURS TO MAKE I PAY FOR MEDICAL AID WHICH I ALMOST NEVER USE SO WHEN SOMETHING IS THREATNING MY VISION OR LIFE I WILL ATTEND TO IT.
Thorough and knowledgeable. Calm and collected, which is a great bed-side manner for a patient. Happy to answer my hundreds of questions and explain all the details. Well recommended.
I've with doctor for over 20 years . He is wonderful .
